Yes I am walking again :-) mainly in the countryside and by the sea....it's really great even if it takes time to get my muscles re-used to it, I feel pain when I walk quick which I never did before....so I supose I have just to take it gently for now.
I moved area early this year, and now I am in a wonderful part of Britain with so many nature beauties to see....what a great way to walk while admiring all the nature around.
Thanks for sharinf a Very nice and interesting video.
I love to walk....used to walk a lot, sometimes 6-7 hours in the countryside. But those last few years I walked less and less, and your video reminded me that I should definitly start to walk more again...it's good for the body and also for the mind.
Thank you for giving us the chance to visit your area :-)
I am so sorry that it's taken me THIS long to reply to your lovely comment. I do appreciate that you watched and took the time to leave me a message. Watching this video again has reminded ME I need to walk daily again. I've had lots of changes in my life recently and somehow I slipped out of what I thought was an ingrained habit! I'm not happy without a walking routine, I need to keep going with my journey. Are you walking again?
I had water with me (my near empty bottle appears in the vid, ya?) - but a 700ml bottle for two hours of walking is not enough. And on a hot day? I should have had two litres with me (which is an extra weight to carry in the beginning). I carry water even on cold days and half hour walks. I enjoy plain water. But going by what many ladies say in the Weight Watchers meetings I go to, many hate water and struggle to drink the amount they need each day. Thanks for watching Maryann :D
Amazing walk - and some of the sites were great - along with great music accompaniment. Our community is pretty small here - so when I walk, pretty much see the same thing. Need to expand my horizons.
And with all that walking one would thing you would want an iced tea vs Latte :)
Hey Danny, I've just returned from a one hour walk. By expanding your horizons do you mean driving to a different neighborhood and walking somewhere else?
You're right re: the iced tea - but it'd have more sugar than my latte (I don't do artificial sweeteners). So a jug of cool tap water with ice + the latte at the cafe would probably be the scenario! It's nice to have company though too. Some cafe's have magazines to read (not sure about that one), but that's a bonus when you're alone.
Nice to see that is spring in Australia.Yes,I would like to walk with you it`s a nice Landscape.I love this kind of Landscape. After the walk is drinking a important thing.
Oh good! I'd like to walk with you too!! :) Next time I tackle a 2 hour walk I will take a sports drink with me, like Gatorade! Thanks for watching & commenting Mony :)
cool vid!!!! u looked so hot! from 10-12 ouch! ;) i dunno bout the million dollar row on the hill its quite a walk (or tumble) to the water.. lol.. what a pretty green too.. do ppl swim in that river? i remember u talking bout the boathouse, tis true how the sound of cups n tinkling spoon sound seems to drift out.. ah fun! ^^ congrats on ur big walking adventure!
Mmm, I was hot and at one point held the palm of my hand over my right ear to shield it from the sun (I did have sunscreen on my ears too..but again, I was sweating it off)! When I look at those houses perched so high up with no doubt, fabulous views out to the bay also.. I can't help but think of earthquakes and/or landslides! There seems to be so much weighty structure leaning on that dirt! With children, I'd be nervous all the time re: their whereabouts! Thanks for commenting Tiffany! :) ^^
we have much the same problem here.. alot of million dollar houses up on a hill "olivers hill" i think it is.. in fact one place had a landslide last year (their backyard had a nice slope to it after that.. oh and they were in the midst of selling it too x.x ouch!)
p.s. re: swimming, it's not unheard of but it's rare. You see more canoeists.. rowing teams.. and water skiing occasionally too. I hear water snakes are prevalent. The water isn't exactly pristine either.. 0.0
Thank you Mary. With persistence.. I'm hoping to get to my goals. I'm already noticing changes.. so it's good. Challenging to walk during hot summers though! It's not even summer here until next month.
Umm.. I didn't see any on the walk, but yes we have deadly snakes and spiders. I haven't seen a snake since the 80's though. There would have to be plenty near the river. Hiding. The last local snake bite from memory (in the newspaper) was a couple of years ago, someone was bitten at the beach! I hate spiders, but they're not as prevalent or a nuisance as the international media would make out. One reason I like winter is that the creepy-crawlies seem to vanish!
after my own heart : )) i love taking pictures on walks. if you are out in the heat for longish periods you might take some electrolyte drink as well as water. you would feel much better after the exercise.
Thank you videochick! That's a good idea.. and I do have some Gatorade in a tub at home.. why didn't I think of that? This is where I need reminders from my husband. :-/ I appreciate you watching/commenting! :)
Thanks Curt! It was particularly peaceful because less people were out because of the heat. Otherwise you get plenty of mothers with wheels ie. babies in those three-wheeler prams you see in marathons? You can get bowled-over if you don't watch out!
The green has only started coming up. We have water restrictions in place at the moment because water and rain clouds are still in demand. Did you mean like Power Ranger jump suit? lol ! Looked like a Power Ranger now come to think of it ;)
I love ELO :)

2 hours! You do better than me. I've been lazy lately.
Thank you for the tour. I love seeing other parts of the world, I seldom travel like you.
When it's hot I carry a bottle of water with me, you must have been dying of thirst. :)

2 hours - excellent!
That looks like a peaceful place to take a long walk (and YAY for all that green!).
Good to see your fuel prices are dropping too.
Hey, was that postman really wearing an range jump suit??
