Like nas said @ 2:00 There shouldnt be no body homeless how can the president fix other problems and he aint fix home yet. a this hatin aint gotta last for ever time everybody of every nationality, race, relegion, or, background we aronly hurting ourselves 1 man kill another now its two gone one in the ground one in the jail

  • Hiphop is a big part of the Young African American Culture, not sayin that its not for other races or cultures but anyone who loves hiphop has to respect where hiphop came from. Just like southern rappers pay respect to up north rapper such as KRS1 and Rappers delight. Other cultures and races should pay that same respect to the The African Americans Culture because your adapting to our nature.

  • Of course Bill O'Reilly wouldn't reference this song when Nas performed at Virginia Tech

  • Bonne reprise de tears for fears

    ...

LIL WAYNE: "Yeah, I fuck around and leave a nigga's brains on the street (Woo) and pop that pussy!"

And little kids put Lil Wayne in the same category as them.

    Fuck you dumbasses

  • @Brandynmccartney2 Don't you forgot someone?Biggie,Big L,etc.....Yeah,Lil'Wayne is a piece of shit,but don't forget real legends.Peace!

  • @StillerStiller03 no i didnt put Notorious in that list and thats how i wanted it. i do not believe that biggie is a top 5 rapper. i do believe in the top 10 tho. if biggie was still alive, no one would put him there and thats just the truth. im not trashing biggie small by any means i liked his music and still do.

  • @Brandynmccartney2 Well no. Wayne at one point was amazing. Much better than Pac. Pac was average compared to so many other MC's

  • @Ilovelamp515 you're kidding right?

  • @JKboi27 No. Black Thought, Andre3000, Common, Slick Rick, Cool Calm Pete, Kno, Natty, Mr. Lif, WU TANG, Mobb Deep, Biggy, Blu are all much better for a start. But Pac was average. Not bad, not great. Just average.

  • @Ilovelamp515 yes, tupac was great, not the greatest but great

  • @Ilovelamp515 well said no point talking about it if pac were alive he'd have nothing on Nas... whole other league

  • @Ilovelamp515 just stop talking your embarrassing yourself

  • Son: Dad, I'm going out.

    Dad: Where you going son?

Son: I'm Going to shoot 48 Bitches.

  • this is a great interpretation. simply amazing.

  • Like mike

  • This is one of Nas' underrated hits. This was a single I wish he really did push. The only time you really heard it was in the movie "honey." lol

  • thumbs up if like mike brought you here

  • It's only affirmative action if you see color.

  • brilliant song, amazing video NAS QB for life, greatest rapper ever

  • like mike brought me here

  • The 7 dislikes are out their mind.

  • wtf is hip hop activism?

  • @MrFan32

It was a class that explained how hip hop in general, not just as a music genre, has defined a generation. We also discussed how hip hop and can used as a positive image rather than how media likes to twist the negative aspects of it. It was a 1 credit elective that I felt was a step in the right direction for hip hop.

  • @MrFan32 I am very sad to say this, but Hip Hop activism class is just another form (perhaps one of the greatest examples of) affirmative action.

Being a black American myself, I hope these kinds of classes will span all genres of music, and make us feel less stupid.

  • @CJagged not exactly true. hip hop spans across all races and backgrounds. while it maybe stated that hip hop is dominated by african americans, today, its an art form that looked past your skin color and heritage to bring people together. but like everything, hip hop does have an ugly side that you see on tv or hear on the radio.

by using your logic, i guess you can say classes that cover African American history would be considered a form of affirmative action which i simply cannot agree to

  • @JKboi27 you are absolutely correct. hip hop is an art form that spans many different backgrounds and races. but Hip Hop in my opinion has only been used as a form of activism by the African American community. Hip Hop is a very different thing today as it was 20-25 years ago, and because of that, it is not as resounding a genre as it used to be. I do understand where you are coming from, and thank you for your kind reply. =)

  • @JKboi27 one of the best/deepest hip hop songs just wish we could hear more tracks like these today ones that addresses problems happening in todays society. thanks nas for keeping hip hop alive

thanks JKboi27 for making this video! great interpretation of nas's song

  • @JKboi27 not sure if i got everything right, just want to state though that i'm from Poland, i listen to rap and there are lot of polish rappers and lot of people listening to them next to NAS and other artists from States. So agree, HH might have started in USA, but now it's living its own independant life all across the globe.

  • @JakubKarolD more power to you brother. hip hop is universal

  • @CJagged im offended my friend... did u have the song muted while u were typing this???

  • nas gives props to tupac in some of his songs. im going to be a little controversal and say that i think that nas is actually better than tupac. not that tupac was bad, it's just that i prefer nas more.

  • AMAZING video! I hope you got an A

  • aaaahhhh i remember this song my mother used to listen to it all the time when i was little and i thought that the one i listened to was tears for fears not nas!!!!!!

  • A+ bro

  • Tears for Fears

  • I thought this was the music video.. it really matches with the lyrics. Like it!

  • Hip Hop activism class? That class exists? damn..lol

  • it took me so long to find this that i had to look up the original soundtrack for Honey.

  • 2pac ESQ?

  • tears for fears!!!!

  • "I want land, mansions, banks and gold

The diamonds in Africa, oil in my control

The world's natural resources, all its residuals

But then comes foes, I have to gaurd it with missels

And I become the most wanted" wow Nas wrote this a decade ago and yet the US govt. still ended up destroying the middle east for their natural resource.

  • @phudichat that is one of the best things about Nas' lyrics. as long as this earth spins, and the human race still exists, his lyrics will be relevant. Nas' lyrics can, and will transcend time itself.

  • dis dat crank

  • Great Video.. good job

  • picture perfect

  • it's like whoever can look the silliest and rhyme the whackest and glorify weed smoking gets the airplay. this is nothing short of lyrical genius.
