I can tell the truth? My favorite band is Coldplay. My second favorite is Radiohead. Radiohead made best songs than Coldplay, but this doesn't mean that Coldplay suck, examples: 42, God Put A Smile Upon Your Face, Violet Hill, Shiver, Politk Then also listen to Ode to Deodorant is their first song and tell me if it doesn't sound like Radiohead. Coldplay are better for me NOT for quality, but for the emotions that their songs send me but Radiohead are better musically.

@JessMTL85 I don't think so. Radiohead has a very unique style and it's hard, if not impossible, to find a band that sounds similar. You could try with 'Aphex Twin' if you like the electronic side of Radiohead or 'Can' if you prefer the experimental side. They are both quite good and I heard Aphex Twin was one of Radiohead's influences while recording Kid A.

One of the strangest things that ever happened to me happened a couple months ago.. I was drawing in my art class and all of a sudden out of nowhere i closed my eyes for a second as i tried to think of what to draw and stick figures with alien-esque eyes and X's on their foreheads popped into my head, i saw it in my mind..so i started drawing them all over. the next day i was looking up this song and this was the first video i saw. I listen to them if I want to be overwhelmed by a stroke of genious. And I don't enjoy them for anything else. Coldplay IMO achieved to make great and enjoyable music at the same time. So for me it's Coldplay >> Radiohead. (It's a choice based on what I would listen on a regular day).

I can easily listen to Radiohead all day, because not only is it overwhelming, but it takes you to a place that only their music can take you. Coldplay sounds bland and unoriginal to me.
