Caps on or off, it doesn't make a difference. It used to be at one time that yes the caps had to be off, but they had to manually take them off, now everything is ground up.
I promote recycling in the UK. I noticed that you don't have a link in the description of your video and was wondering if you would place a link in there to one of my websites?
This is literally 30 secs work for you and I will send you $20 instantly via paypal once done.
I will also add your youtube link or website into about 500 article directories, so you will receive more traffic.
Bio-plastics based on corn, should replace petroleum based plastics, and the latter will lead to our doom. Europeans, especially Germans are much more aware and that (awareness) is the best weapon to fight the plastic menace. PETROLEUM BASED PLASTICS POLLUTE and when a plastics engineer tells you otherwise it is economising with the truth.
simple answer...recycling is good for the environment. Not a matter of whether it takes jobs...reuse creates jobs in recycling. As a plastics engineer, I support recycling. Plastics don't pollute...people do.
yeah, i would be interested also in hearing if recycling is good or bad for the environment. I saw on Penn & Teller's "Bullshit" that the only thing good for the environment to recycle is aluminum.
i can actually explain you all why recycling plastic bottles could be worst that don't do it:
-too many people don't sqeeze the bottles, so it's more like carry air than plastic. the ammount of fuel used to carry all this "air with little plastic" is more than the ammount used to make new bottles in large quantity.
-If everybody would squeeze their plastic waste recycle plastic object would be really helpfully for our planet.

Selfish liberal bastated! Recycling hurts jobs because saving hurts growth. Oil companies provide the raw material for plastic and soldiers will get laid off if we dont need oil anymore. You should think about other people and jobs next time you take it upon yourself to recycle.
If you burn the bottles, they produce toxic chemicals and unusable toxic ashes. At the same time you need to pump out crude oil, refine it and make a new bottle.
Putting it to a landfill gives the same result over time, it just take many generations to get it done.
What is the environmental impact on remaking a bottle with plastics that are already designed for it? And washing and reusing glassbottles, how is that?
I've heard it goes to Macdonalds - they put it into hamburgers
