I think I was the only person out of my group of friends that actually liked this game, it was different, to say the least...Others said they would rather be castrated without anesthesia or be forced to play Silent Service for NES for 2 weeks straight...Hey, everyone has their opinions, right?

OMG! I just happened upon this video by accident. For years I wondered what this game was. I played it was a kid . . . I must've been like . . . 11 or something. I rented it, and all I could remember was what a terrible game it was. It made absolutely no sense! Anyway, sorry if ya'll like the game but got it sucked! LOL! :-)

Drakkhen was great! It was the 'B' movie of video games. The sequel, Dragon View was a slightly better game, though.

This was once a great game, and for any of those complaining about it being too hard to play... I was getting towards the end in kindergarten. -.-

I beat it later when I played it again, I was about 11. Can you really compare it to any other games? At least it's not another clone.

That'd be interesting. I had the game when I was younger and basically DID NOT GET A DAMN THING! I might enjoy it now that I... get things. SNES games are always weird for me nowadays. I either finish it in one sitting (Or just continue playing until I've finished) or lose interest after 10 minutes and not play anymore.

Wow thanks for posting. This game brings back memories. I never liked it too much but I did play it a lot, probably because it was the first real RPG I ever played. It was something new for me at the time.

I Liked this game..It was one of my first SNES games and I thought it was kind of "mystic".

I finished it and in the time, it was a great deed to do that.

It was a great deed. And I totally feel you on the mystic aspect. It was also relaxing at times (looking at the stars with the quiet music) and frantic at times (getting attacked by a dragon when you just lost your armor).  A great game for it's day.

It certainly had a depressing world. It reminded me of the world in the movie Excalibur after King Arthur lost the sword. The castles were creepy and I thought they were scary and gothic. The day and night cycles were good and the constellations at night. It isn't a good game but could have been. I played it for hours and got far and encountered creepy parts.

You might be talking about the water prince's castle as your next stop?  You'll need the spell of unlock to open that one up. For some of the dungeons you have to talk to or defeat certain Drakken lords/ladies. Stop by gamefaqs and I think you'll find more specific answers.

haveta get to the north left castle. There's these two switches on one wall. Pull em. Go through the castle and it opened a door that wasn't visible before. U find a captured drakkhen bitch (princess) and she gives u the tear.
