  • nice keyboard dude i never saw one like that

  • omg if you ingore them, the SCREAM LIKE BANCHEES! lolol I have a jenday conure named Peanut and everytime I leave her sight she screams like Rudy. I call Peanut my 'separation anxiety' child :)

  • Jcrackss@, its called a sun conure

  • If you're going to ignore him, act like you're cleaning up the room he is in. He might be complaining about the clothes left on the floor!

  • what kind of parrot is this , i have one and hes an older bird but we never figured out what he is lol & hes 10 times louder than this one . he dances the same too

  • My Sun Conure is so acting THE SAME! Everytime I leave him alone he starts to shout and to get my attention.

  • Cute!! ^_^ :3

  • such a smart clever bird and very cute too :)

  • Rudy is so cute!! I've secretly been stalking your videos for the past year or year and a half.. and he's my favorite bird on youtube, and now I'm getting a sun conure for myself! I just want to warn you about happy huts - a lot of birds have died in them because threads have come loose or they get pulled loose, and birds get strangled in them. Just be careful with it, and watch him when he's inside it. But I'm guessing he spends most of his time outside anyway :P I love Rudy!! Make more videos!

  • I HAVE A ? HOW CUME THE CAGE IS ON THE GROUND?

  • omg clean your room you slob LOL

  • nice alarm clock.

  • Gosh Rudy is adorable :) ...i have 2 sun conure's as well ....wally and tipsy..and both are so so loud !!!!!!!!

  • my Sun Conure pepper is so loud. How do you deal with Rudy when you have company? Pepper doesn't tolerate any strangers in the house. Makes parties not so fun... :(

  • What a handsome conure :)

  • I LOVE sun conures!! I worked at a pet store for a long time and we had this one sun and he was like.. the light of my life. Super lovable, and loved to snuggle. I wish he wasn't so expensive otherwise I would have bought him (:

  • with my opinion i think zolazora32 and fineartofdestruction said some mean things. they said a bad word too

  • i will get a sunday conure soon when i have the money to buy it.i love birds so much i have 4 parakeets. i want a sunday conure now (:

  • you can cover their cage at night

  • If you are going to give bird advice, you should be nicer about it. You wouldn't talk to someone loke that if you were face to face.

  • Rudy's a lucky little guy. His owner obviously loves him. He gets a lot of attention and it shows. No one needs to worry about his cage size, where it's placed, or anything else about him. Rudy is happy and extremely well cared for.

  • BIRDS ARE PERFECTLY FINE WHEN THEY ARE UP HIGH! Rudy is awsome.

  • Video just doesn't do justice to how loud they really are, LOL. You should walk into our aviary!

  • My Sun Conure is SO loud but I love him anyway

  • those birds are always loud! I have one, but it escaped from my house. I miss him. His name was Skittles because he had so many colors. lol

LOL Skittles will start chirping when i open the door.!!

    I love those birds. btw

i think he needs a big cage!

  • ok question why do you have his cage on the floor? heat rises so it concerns me that he may be subjected to drafts running across the floor. secondly birds like to be up higher hence being in trees and what not (in the wild) being a sun conure owner myself i must say you should put the cage up in a dresser or the stand the cage came with. you have a lovely cage show it off :) and i must say you have a stunning sun but arent they all!!! :)

  • My vet said not to put them really low because the higher up they are, the more important they think they are and they will feel like the boss and bite alot and try to overpower you. It's a mental thing for them to be really low. Mine now hardly ever goes on my shoulder because the vet said that was bad for their mentality.

  • @RoonilWizib

It really depends since birds, like people, are individuals. They feel more threatened when they are lower to the ground, as ground predators can easily get them. Ones that are higher up may have some behavior problems because they are used to defending nests, which are above ground level. The best cage placement is eye level, it will make the bird feel less threatened with minimal problems. It's more of a case of reading your bird's body language and acting accordingly.

  • Actually, it is stupid to put cages up high. Birds become territorial and think they are dominant the higher they are. If a bird is allowed so high, it probably will think that it is the boss and it will be harder to control and to teach.

  • no offence but birds aren't dominant they aren't like dogs... and if you know what you are doing (training wise) the height of the cage is no matter it will not make the bird harder to train... not sure where you got your info from but do some actual research!

  • You are right, they are not like dogs- they are MORE dominant then dogs. Don't spew facts that every bird expert will frown upon. Go call a few bird experts, and vets like "RoonilWizib" did and get straight facts. Roonil was smart to do so, instead of tell people fact that will actually make their birds harder to train. Please, don't be a hypocrite and ask people to do research but you kinda need to do so before telling useless facts ;)

  • I have never heard of such stupid remarks in my life. What is stupid is to let your bird on your head they can get bossy when you allow this however the cage is a different story. Now Mr/Miss "bird expert" I am finished with the flame wars so bugger off with your non-sence.

  • Of course it is stupid to allow a bird that has problems with dominance/is to be trained on your head 0.o that is a given. With birds that are in their cage 12 or so hours or more then they should be in a eye level or low cage. When the bird is larger and is taken out to a play stool or wherever then it does not matter. Thanks for the Miss bird expert title but I do not deserve it as this is common knowledge =)

  • Birds don't have an hierachy as we and dogs do. I've had fifteen birds that I've allowed almost all over the house, and I've never had any problems with "dominance". The thing that a flock leader is always on top is just a myth.

  • thats a small happy hut!he can fit in that?

  • He actually prefers the small happy huts because that way he can get more warm and snuggly.

  • @ztrawhcs

My Green Cheek is the same, he doesn't like the big ones.

  • WOW. I'm jealous. i want a bird like him!

  • oh! theres nothing wrong with his cage setup, but i just forgot this in my last comment. ummmm you should put him up on that dresser that was next to there cage. birds dont like to be on the ground they prefer to have some sort of elevation between them and the floor. if u cant find anything. try just lining up two shoe boxes next to eachother. u should actually notice a change in his behavior( he possibly could become less of a screamer and less of a grouch on those days when he feels nippy.

  • That is way too small of a cage for him dumbass. No wonder he is so loud, he has a small cage and idiot for an owner taunting him for entertainment. Read a book ass hole, Conures need large cages and a lot of attention, they are like small children and you should treat them as so.

  • ur really dumb :D its not because he has a small cage smart one. sun conures are natural screamers no matter how well u take care of them. and also if he handles rudy on a daily basis for more than 5 hours a day he doesnt need a small cage. they just need large cages if u wont be at home a lot. so that they can entertain themselves. but this guy makes movies all the time so im sure he holds rudy and bonds deeper and deeper every day with him.

  • No it isn't, the cage is perfectly fine. Sun Conures are natural screamers. I have one and he has a big cage & even when he's out of the cage he screams.

  • You're retarded since every bird will make noises, especially Sun Conures.

It seems you're the one who needs to read a book, ass hole.

  • i have a sun and she doesnt scream much only time she gets going is if she decides she doesnt like someone or something so i dont think that we can say ALL sun conures are screamers most birds scream it all depends on the personality they have besides i dont think its the fact that they are screamers its just the pitch slightly higher. anyways the cage looks fine so dont get so upset it just needs to be put on a stand.

  • why you put movie like that! keep it for you idiot

  • moments before bird eats camera :P

  • That nothing! I have a jenday conure and he is worse! LOL! i will soon post a vid of him!

Your's is so cute!!By the way what kind of food do you give him?

  • Zupreem pellets. Peanuts sometimes. Fruits and veggies. He likes my Kashi golean crunch. Also likes yogurt. I pretty much give him a little of what I'm having too.

  • Give him some cheerios too. Mine absolutly loves them and they are good for him to, they are full of vitamins and minerals.

  • I thought my conure (green cheek) was loud! Rudy's got some lungs. I like how he starts bobbing his head and chewing on the camera at the end.

  • I saw one of these in the pet store and fell in love. Rudy is very bright. This video is amusing. I wish I could own a conure, but I have cats. Yowza. Guess it'll have to wait.

  • Yep same deal with my two sun conures. They are mostly noisy in the morning when they get hungry. Other than that they just sqwark for the sake of it or sometimes they make warning calls when they see a big bird outside or sometimes even hot air ballons!

  • My lil Sun Conure is the same, the little attention seeker xD;; although the noices can be quite ear-piercing. But they are gorgeous birds, very affectionate too.

  • LOL so cute! my little sun conure Mylo is the exact same way...he's now learned that I am distracted by the television, and he flies at it and tries to bite it...if I am on the laptop, and i'm distracted by it, he'll fly down on the keys and give me a little nip. He'll also fly over and land on my shoulder if i'm playing on the piano. heh

  • So here's the voice! Not so bad but maybe a little loud for telephone work. A lovely bird - very confident & wonderful plumage. You videos are fun.
