  • This rabbi looks elderly----could this be his granddaughter, rather than his daughter? He definitely appears joyful!

  • Some questions~~~Was this immense crowd of men (and wives and kids) all invited to a meal/reception? Who paid for it? Where are the female members of the bride's family? I feel sorry for her---standing in the middle of that arena must have been unnerving. I hope the bride and her new husband have a child by now.

  • @jekorb you know that bride family aways charge the wedding

  • @muffles12 Do you mean "pay for" the wedding? If so, they must have the wealth of Mr. & Mrs. Bill Gates in order to entertain/feed all those people!! We only had 170 people at our daughter's wedding and it was stilll $50,000.00! How do they manage this?

  • This is the wedding of a big Rabbi's daughter, and his "congregation" is the huge audience. He is dancing with his daughter. Boro Park, NY.

  • what country is this isreal or central aisa

    chabad condemed this.

  • STOP CONDEMING AND START ACCEPTING!!! you might actually like it.

  • right on you are so right abou that

  • chabad, the widow must marrie her ex-husband's brother. Regardless of what type of person or Jew he is.

  • And at the 2:30 mark the groom joined the Father of the bride.

  • Kool...what does the black band attached to the bride signify? Anybody? Also, who's wedding is this?

  • Jewish men and women may not touch, so they dance with ribbons and hankies, as not to make physical contact.

  • Ahh right..thanks for your reply. So is that the groom who is dancing?

  • No, that the father of the bride at this point of dancing.

  • So father's can't even touch their own daughter's?

  • I apologise for so many questions, it's just that I'm not too familiar with Jewish practises, so I'm questioning out of sincerity :)

  • The father can touch his daughter. but since this is a big rabbi and with a huge crowd he dosnt dance with her hand by hand. but at regular weddings the father does dance with his daughter hand by hand

  • Ok, thanks for your reply :)

    Peace.

  • Hassidic Judaism is incredible
