  • @DeceasedCrab These let's plays are hilarious :D What program do you use to record all of this?

  • @DeceasedCrab

Damn, Your voice sounds like a fucking car insurance sponsor or something lol XD

  • i played this I ALMOST DIED!

  • I recognize your voice from a walkthrough of "mondo medicals" together with madameluna.

    kill me if i'm wrong.

  • Why is the music in this version of Eversion different than the music in the version of Eversion that I played?

  • @AfrojacX did you get the steam version? this is the free version

  • @AfrojacX The music that was ripped from Cocoron got changed due to copyright issues.

  • You know, you should realy put in the warning at the start.

You know, the "not for small children or people of nervous disposition" one.

    Just saying.

  • @beterbomen Nah.

  • "Enough of that dreary world!"

    Just wait, DC. Just wait.

  • The easiest way to move through this world is to spend most of your time in the most miserable, bleak version of it. That is very interesting.

  • Some people said this game is scary... why?

  • @fredespanish

They're just trolling you. It's a good game though. Happy and bright all through the end, and a great platformer.

  • @fredespanish Yeaaaah... You see all the cute, happy colors and music?

It lies. Such horrible, mind screwing lies. DX

  • @fredespanish .....you'll see. You probably know by now, don't you?

  • Cocoron clone? YAY! Will there be a singing ninja tank and Nibble?

  • Hiya! Longtime fan, first time caller. I just wanna say, DeceasedCrab, that YOU are the person who inspired me to start LPing, and in particular, to LP this game. It's on version 1.7.3 now! And it is still scary as all hell.

  • music is pretty awesome

  • I keep seeing comments about this game being twisted.

I noticed a lot of people said they screamed.

I don't know why, I'm assuming it messes with ones head.

    Makes you see things.

    Like smelling permanent marker.

Can someone tell me why it's so scary while I watch the other videos trying not to scream about something?

  • @DragonsOfPain Yeah I also wondering about that, I've watched several gameplay videos and none of them is that insane or mind bending like all the comments

  • @DragonsOfPain Play the actual game.

  • This game sure made me happy....are you happy today?

  • I wonder if anyone notices that the boxes' faces change during an eversion

  • This game takes on a new meaning when you play it while listening to PPPPPP.

  • This game IS FUCKING INSANE WHATS GOING ON!

  • This game. God, this game. *shiver*

  • Wheres Trilby when you need him?

  • Sorry Deceasedcrab but my nutty sister said I can't watch you anymore but I still love your videos.

  • @Summerwhat Your sister sounds unpleasant. Good luck.

  • :)

  • It's worse than mappy land...

  • this game gives me nightmares

  • Ah, blissfully unaware.

  • At first, I thought it was a change of the seasons.

    I was very wrong.

  • The eversion spam at the start of world 3 is why I hate that world.

  • Just notice how the title's colors go with the theme.

  • @scratch799 Whoa...

No wonder the N is evil-looking...

  • That black wall gets me every time I try that spot...

  • I'm smiling evilly because I know what's going to happen next when you hit that block.... >:)

  • I love your voice. It's too bad this game broke your sanity like it did everyone else's. Ah well, can't play it without making some sacrifices I suppose.

  • ...the minute the black wall of doom appeared, EVEN THOUGH I KNEW IT WAS COMING, I screamed.

  • i really need to download this game. it looks so good.

  • Nice place to end.

  • Been forever since I've seen this... Still gives me the chills...

  • This is a game about growing up, about life. At first everything is peaceful, happy and nice, only to slowly change more and more into a twisted version of what you thought it was. And you can't everse back !

  • STOP YOUR CHEERY LIES!!!

  • It...Scares me.

The happiness can only lead to madness as Yin leads to Yang :L

  • I would really like to play this game. 8D

And are you aware that you sound a little like Michael Cera? (I'm not sure if I spelled that right. :P)

  • Is the HD / Steam Edition worth the Money? > Better Graphics and Achievements?

  • When I first played Eversion, I never knew that the scenery would turn out to be so hellish once you progress a little. I thought It was all just happy and cute stuff

  • ever tried playing the HD version released on steam?, because that one has an exclusive "weird" ending

  • I planned on making a blind run of this. I failed to so, as world 6 had me screaming. I couldn't finish it for a week, and I deleted all videos of it.

  • @jellywillreturn You're not serious, are you?

  • I like this guy. He has a nice voice, AND he helps me learn new things! YAY!

  • why is this game apparently disturbed

  • @blaakmage You'll find out soon enough.

  • 1. Normal

    2. Deception

    3. Erosion

    4. Desolation

    5. Confusion

    6. Apprehension

    7. Commotion

    8. Induction

    Will you Evert or Invert?

  • The HD version looks a lot better O.O

  • This game was just released on Steam.

    God help us all.

  • @DannyJS1 Hey what is wrong with steam? it is only like 5 bucks, i guess im all about supporting game makers even if its just a few bucks, it may make a difference between if they will make another game(the makers) or not..but that is just me.

  • too much mario style

  • @th3dude00 It'll change soon.

  • I've played this game before. The whole time, I was just sitting here with a huge grin on my face thinking: Welcome to hell, Deceased Crab...

  • This game is awesome, but creepy.

  • Happiest Game Ever =D

  • Gee Scoob! I don't know!

  • This was the best version. I hate the newer, messed up one without Cocoron.

  • I love how you said 'totally outrageous' at the end - any plans of doing Nifflas' Saira?

  • @njuta No. That game is bad.

  • @DeceasedCrab

    Bad is an understatement.

  • @DeceasedCrab deadly towers bad or just bad

  • @njuta He said "truly outrageous", not "totally".

  • Jem! It's truly outrageous.

  • has anyone ever told you that you are an amazing actor? seriously you should start a career as one. you made this game way more dramatic.

  • This is one of the few games that accomplishes its mission perfectly. The music, the graphics- everything works.

  • How do you tell where the eversion points are?

  • @RawkHawk5 There's a little discoloration in the entire screen when you get near one. It's a lot more clear in the game.

  • the color changes a bit, and the music changes a bit.

  • Darkening, discoloration, and a change in music.

  • do you need to collect all the gems?

  • you need to collect all the gems to get a "good" ending

  • yes

  • This game gets scary

  • isn't this mario

  • This game is SO innocent.

  • @EinherjarLeo Well, the actual game displays an HP Lovecraft quote before the title screen. DC skipped that because he is evil. :)

  • Great game. Ending freaked me out alot though.

  • Looks kinda ominous.

  • This is the happiest game ever! :D

    .....Or is it?

  • Aha! looks like I found the perfect let's play to watch on Halloween, munching over with popcorn! Thanks DC!

  • 6:03 Wow, you broke THE WORLD

  • The end of this game is so Fuc**** scary HOLY F***

  • When I first tested this game I was like "FUCK YEAH; SUPER MARIO, THIS GAME IS ALREADY MADE OF WIN!" then I got into the next levels... and you all know how does this end

  • i got this game and one of the themes on the worlds are pretty awesome but when you get more through the worlds it gets kinda scary :/

  • This may come up in a later video i havent watched yet, or if not, is still 6 or 7 months late but if you listen closely around 5:30 to 5:50 , when you're trying to everse, or whatever it is, you can actually hear the theme of world type 4 playing softly in the background

  • Are the eversion points always between two plants?

  • how can a game be happy and grim at the same time!? D:

  • Oh man... I remember first playing this I got slightly freaked out by the third and fourth eversion places. After beating the game, those places seemed like the most cheerful things ever.

  • ready!

    to die

  • Just WHAT is that thing you play as? some kind of featherless chicken with eyes on it's stomach? :P

  • Damn. I played this, but found the evert button to be unresponsive. At all.

  • This is neat. <_< Kinda reminds me of Sonic CD and it's Past-Present-Future thing.

  • How can you tell where the eversion points are?

  • I have to tell you, I LOVE the world x-3 music, or what I call "Evert Mode 2" since you have to Evert twice to get to it.

  • i remeber playing this game... the music always made me want to punch a baby... :D

  • I wish I could play this on a Mac T_T

You have a very pleasant narrator voice, and this game gives me an uncomfortable feeling it's going to turn decidedly Cosmic Horror-ish...

  • I played the game before watching this.

It's gonna be so awesome to watch him play world 4

  • Eversion is a pretty cool guy, eh collects gems and doesn't afriad of anything.

  • I like how you sound all enthusiastic about the game when you already know what's coming up :P

  • i think the decay appears if you stay in eversion 4 for too long.

  • Like eversion. Hey! Touched for the very first...

  • Cocoron clone? You WISH.

  • the very beginning of the first level reminded me of mario a lot

  • Something tells me that this isn't a blind run.

  • Is this a freeware game?

And how do you know where eversion points are, or am I just stupid?

  • Yes!

  • Yes on freeware, stupidity, or both?

  • I love that answer because it could cover both questions or both one. DC you sly dog :D

  • Hehe... he's stupid. I mean it's fairly obvious. The points where the color and music fades.

  • Eversion points are fairly obvious if you're paying attention - even DC points it out X_X

  • You know an eversion point by the music fading out a little (and the new music playing as a counterpoint, and the background fading a little toward the new color.

  • the sky darkens or lightens at eversion points.

  • It might be hard to tell from the YouTube video, but each eversion point has a gloomier color than your current world.

  • The background changes color when it's a point where you can everse.

  • sky is changing colour in eversion point

  • The background changes color a bit

  • The background changes color and you can hear the music change as well.

  • you can tell eversion points because the sky changes color

  • that sky changes color when there's an eversion point

  • The screen changes shades.

  • Screen lightens/darkens when you're at an eversion point.

  • The screen flickers when you're in an eversion point.

  • The screen tints a little and the music changes slightly.

  • The sky changes the colour and the music becomes mixed with another one, both from the level you're going to everse to.

    E.g.

    0:25

    2:02

    2:48

And the whole beginning of the world 3

  • The background colour shifts from darker to lighter and the music shifts slightly to the darker or lighter theme, depends on which point you're standing.

  • the screen flickers color, it looks like.

  • The screen color shifts halfway towards the color of the next "world". You can hear the music of that world faintly as well. The eversion points are normally in some significant place. Between two objects, handly little nooks, things of that sort.

  • The music changes and the background color also changes slightly. Often marked between trees or other shit.

  • The eversion points are where the world gets a bit darker/lighter, and a second tune can be heard. Press "Everse" to transition.

    And it's free. Play it.

  • The screen gets darker and the music drops in volume/partially switches to the other world's track when you can everse.

  • When the background starts changing color and you hear a little bit of different music coming through.

  • Yes, and the screen flashes and the music changes slightly at the evert points

  • It is freeware.

At eversion points, the screen will fade slightly to the color of that world, and you will be able to faintly hear its music as well.

  • at eversion points the screen /slightly/ changes color.

  • I think you can kinda hear the music for the change.

  • There's a slight change in the backround and the music at the eversion points

  • You can tell, where the background and music changes

  • @NoMoreSanity

They are usually in specific spots, such as inbetween two flowers or in corners and so on. While playing, you get a feeling for where they typically are located.

  • @NoMoreSanity The background will change color slightly when you're near an eversion point.

  • world 3-4 scares me :(

  • You shouldn't watch the next video then.

  • That's nothing.

  • I have an eversion to this game.

  • That's aversion.

  • i have a feeling this game is going to get brutal.

  • you don't want to see dimension 8 then

  • It does. :)

  • come to think of it, cocoron had some pretty distinctively cheery music. also they really liked using that one wave voice for long notes a lot.

I dunno the technical aspects, I'm just suddenly homesick for cocoron. I'm going to watch that LP again.

  • I believe you mean Click Clock Wood?

  • Well, this is certainly a unique-looking game!

  • Looks like the smoke monster from LOST decided to make an appearance at the end of the video.

  • You know if you look closely at the name of the game at the start screen,as a little hint you see the letters get darker near the end and more red.

  • The level ending music from Cocoron just isn't the same without the dancing Tapir.

  • And it just keeps getting worse... and worse... Each second you wish you were one second back in time... but no... it just keeps getting worse...

    ... ... ... ... dot dot dot dot dot...

  • seems like mario the pipes on it enemies between it

  • You need to think things through before you type them on the internet.

  • Can you read minds or something DC? Every time I find a game I can't beat, you manage to come running along and do it for me!

Except rockin' cats, I don't think I ever wanted to play that. Too repetetive.

  • For people who want to know how to find eversion points, look from 2:48 to 2:53. That is how you know when you've found one.

  • "No need for that dreary world!" even though it'll be loved later on!

  • The sad part is that anything found in this video is better than the horrors that await later on.

  • I remember downloading this game a week ago.

    twas awsome.

  • Wow. When did Silent Hill invade Mario Bros? I can only assume it gets worse for...what do we call that starfish thing anyway? Any ideas on a name DC?

  • By the way, I ment the first time you said it.

  • The Eversion point.

  • Hey, what was odd in the beginning?

    <
