I tend to agree with the general sentiment here. It's not a bad effort, and definitely better than the RHCP version I've heard. But it's not on the same level as the original, either. It just lacks the menace and madness that Siouxsie brings to the song. IMHO, anyway.
I appreciate their effort, and that Jim knew enough to change key instead of trying to hit notes that are too low - unlike apparently every Banshees tribute band ever - but some things are better left alone.
As much as I love SM, I don't think this is that great and is no match for the excellent original which has a haunting quality that this totally lacks. Its too happy.
Maybe Jim's vocals are not quite sinister enough for this dark Banshees classic but i like this cover, especially the spooked out ending. Nice work boys.
Damn, they ruined it...Siouxsie rocked it!

Really not bad. From a Siouxsie-addicted.

Much better than the terrible version by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Curious Jim in this cover.. I love him but I prefer the original version.. In any case Graffiti Soul is a great album!

Wish they'd have tried House of Love's 'Christine' instead, but this is cool.
