@Lumotaku That was standard practice in Japan back then; in other markets, they covered it up by putting trim bits where the mirrors would go on the Japanese version
Of course the obvious drawback is they can't drive as well as the new ones, like they often didn't have power steering, and bump steer was pretty strong! :D I wonder if there are parts for modernizing these cars available in Japan or elsewhere, like rack and pinion steering for example, like there are for American classic cars in America.
Yes guys, I just love those classic japanese cars, cuz they give me fond memories of childhood. I grew up among cars like them. Of course not all, cuz some weren't available for sale here in my country, but there were a lot of similar models available here at that time. The silver Corona was definitely common here, often used as taxis, and the Datsun B-series coupe was also here but had a not-as-nice looking front as the Japanese version.
that black car was a shyline correct perseeseen, but there was in fact a crown in this clip, the 4th car to pull out at the start is a toyota crown MS105 supersaloon 'hardtop'
I love those old 60's and 70's japanese big cars. The black 70's Crown on this video must be one of the coolest cars I've ever seen. I wish I had one.

mightygood1 2 years ago
That's not a KE70 wagon, even though it looks like one. It's a JDM 80's Toyota Carina wagon.
