  • Omg thank you for this demo! It's so good to find a demo where there isn't some old guy playing blues, this is a really great review aswell as the others, i've subbed!

  • Nice demo

  • Hey guys, I've been watching your videos for just over a year now, and enjoy what you offer on your channel. The only gripe I have is that for your amp reviews, the sounds are a little 'misleading', or maybe not 'totally honest'. First off, show us the AMP tone! everyone knows what a tube screamer does! Second, your guitar clips are al double tracked, are they mixed any further with eq, compression? You just give off less of a 'true, raw, amp-tone', and a bit more of "semi-produced/ mixed" tone

  • dem EMGs

  • Fantastic review you guys!

  • This is by far - the best review I have seen on this amp explaining everything in detail . Well done guys .

  • Hey guys, I noticed your using a pair of KRK Monitors. What do you think about the Yamaha HS-80 Monitors?

  • is the tube screamer built in?

  • @joeymonster nono tis a pedal

  • @joeymonster no

  • "cut the voltage to ...watts...!!"

  • @bellers Yeah, that's supposed to say "cut the wattage to...". I just realized that mistake was there. I need to annotate that.

  • ou guys are great... great review...

  • 4 min to warm up, seems like a lot. Great video guys. I like the Orange sound. I think their cabs are over rated, you could get great tone out of an avatar or a Whitebox cab with the same v-30 speakers. Keep those vids coming. What do you think about a AT-4040 microphone for recording a acoustic guitar?

  • I am going to the shop now !!!!

  • Remake your home recording how to.

  • Great demo, but should of had a demo fo the amp with tone knob far to the left.

  • @CrucifyGravity Yeah, we didn't think about that. Maybe we'll incorporate that into our review of the Dark Terror that we'll be doing in the future.

  • it doesn't have fx loop, is there any similar amp to that one? i would like to buy it, would you recommend to put delay and revere on the chain going to the preamp?

  • @ChristianLanas The Orange Dark Terror has an FX loop on it. We hope to have a review of it in a few months.

  • @LimitlessStudios I'm seriously looking at getting a Dark Terror, so your review would help a lot I'm sure!

  • Can anyone point me to a song name or tab for the metal riff that starts at 8:26?

  • @zethca Any riff or song you hear in any of our videos was written by us since we can't use copyrighted material in our videos. Unfortunately there are no tabs for our riffs because we both despise writing tabs. We're considering doing a video in the future showing how to play all the riffs in this video, but it may be a while before that is done.

  • Man I love that lead at the end with the les paul.

  • Awesome review! All reviews should be like this!!

  • I wish I had more money

  • wow great review guys. You convinced me in getting my DT.

  • Thank you for doing a good review of this amp, very helpful information.

  • @Alswin2777 Thanks. We're glad you found our review useful.

  • Great review guys!

Can you give some hints to get the tabs of the great licks you are playing in the video (I'm a newbie), Thx!

  • holy shit the Gibson with the EMG's sound bad ass and the Jackson is brutal with the Orange.

  • definitely the best review. The proguitarshop one is good but has no metal tones. Finally someone realizes we don't want to hear you showing off your cliche blues-rock shredding! *cough* guitarworld.

  • @1148bucknasty Thanks, we're glad you enjoyed the video. This is one of the reasons we like reviewing amps, and cabs. Not many reviews pay any attention to metal tones, and the few that do aren't very metal sounding at all. We try to provide a little bit of everything, but we're primarily metal guitarists. We'd like to review many more amps, but it's hard to find many company's willing to send us one for review.

  • Awesome review!! but what Tube Screamer are you using? and are you getting those sounds from just the amp and Tube Screamer, any other effects?

    Thanks, Adam

  • @asmithgdci Thanks! The Tube Screamer is an Ibanez TS7, and no there aren't any other effects added except for the solo in the last clip which had some delay added to it in Pro Tools after being recorded.

  • Whats the song you played with the Explorer, third from last

  • your guys reviews and vids on recording are awesome! best on Youtube!

  • loud enough to play live without micing?

  • Great Review thanks.

  • awesome review

  • can this amp do metal without any booster pedal or distortion pedal??

  • @mrstillarookie YES. YES. Dude, the tone is SO good, when you turn the gain on max, you won't WANT anymore anyways. It goes into very steep rock territory, TOTALLY metal can be done with this thing man. Reccomend it for any heavy music dude.

  • realy good review!! im impressed of what this amp can do!!! let me ask u tho... did u crank up the volume like crazy?? it is a loud amp?? cuz im thinking of getting it for recording! i have a marshall half stack but i cant realy record with it cuz if i crank it up its way to loud and my neighbours hate me XD so if this tiny amp is able to record with a good volume and get a FULL sound at the same time? if yess!! it would be perfect!

  • @GabRock91 you can switch between 7, 15 and 30 watts. switch to 7 watts and crank it up ! im sure its good to have in a home/pro studio.

  • @TheMusicDude1997 thx dude!! i made my choice ima get this thing!:P and finaly be able to record a real good tube amp with a fuller sound without having to deal with the ppl in my bulding XD

  • If this amp had built in tube reverb I would be all over it.

    Great review!

  • which tubescreamer is being used here? sounds really good

  • Hi guys! Nice job with all your videos! I got a question:

You guys own a Fast Track right?

Recording with it using amp sims and cabinets, not using a DI box or a pre-amp is recommended by you?

What abou the line 6 ux2? Is it better to record like this? guitar, bass and vocals.

I'd really like to hear your opinion on this.

    Thanx already!

    Congrats one more time!

  • A very usefull reviews guys, many thanks! can you tell us the setting and the type of Tubescreamer are u using? thanks a lot...and stay rock! \m/

  • Very clear and nice review! Thanks!

  • Hey guys, I may have missed it in the video but what Tube Screamer are you using, the TS9 or the 808?

  • always do the best job…

watched this video before i got my dual terror, it sold me on it.

try it through a 2x12, it's a world of a difference in a good way.

  • Did you guys do a video on sound reinforcing a room? Thanks.

  • Although I have a sympathy towards Orange and an interest in lunchbox-sized amps, I can't accept an amplifier without a 3 band EQ for each channel and maybe I'm an old-fashioned guy but I prefer to have 1 decent clean and 1 decent overdrive channel instead of 2 different sounding channels which try to do both and forces me to choose one to use for cleans. On another note, Limitless Studios did an amazing job on reviewing an amp as Orange suggested on their newsletter which should be a standard..

  • Id love to have a drink with you guys.

  • you guys always have excellent, in depth reviews and how-to's. keep up the amazing work, it's really heplful!

  • The tones after 7:00 all sounded delicious, nice amp!

  • would a 10-band EQ pedal do the trick if you were to play metal or any hard stuff? or so you need that extra umph to pronounce the sound? perhaps puttin JJ's as tubes instead?

  • @TheIranxican jj's wont do a lot gain wise, will sound excellent though. the best way to get an amp like this into metal territory is to overdrive usually with a tubescreamer or some other od pedal

  • perfect review

  • Try and get an Engl amp to review next! :D As always, lovely video.

  • Wow what a great in depth review. Great playing too guys. Great video all around, keep it up guys.

  • Can you get a metal tone without a tubescreamer or any boost pedal?

  • Wow this was a great video from you guys, the amp sounds incredible and your guitars were very good sounding.

  • Very prof review. Brilliant idea to use the graphics showing the knob settings.

  • this is the way amp reviews should be done.

  • For the record, 12AX7 = ECC83

  • reamped? or dubbed?

  • Great Review Guys!! The amp sounds Killer!!

  • how do you guys get such a tight and clean sound yet still maintain a high gain?

do you think having a good mic-preamp as opposed to a shitty one could have as big of a difference in whether or not high gain recordings will sound good or not?

  • wow this sounds great !

    nice review

  • were the sound tests single tracked?

  • @NapoleanXV No, all of these tracks we're double tracked.

  • @LimitlessStudios Do you think you could post some single tracked results with the sm57 and a room mic? Im kinda curious as to how this would sound in a live situation.

If you guys already sent it back its all cool.

  • @NapoleanXV We sent the Dual Terror back before this video was uploaded, however we still have the session files of all these sound clips so if you'd like to hear a single track of a specific clip let us know and we'll send you a PM with a link to the single track. We don't use room mic's because we prefer dry guitar tones. There isn't a good way to record how the amp will sound to your ears in a room, however in future amp reviews we may include a single tracked sound clip in the video.

  • @LimitlessStudios I'm actually about to buy this amp this weekend. So if you can send me the tracks I would love them.

  • @NapoleanXV

It doesn't sound like it is..

  • @MusicRedd I was thinking that too. I dont like that because it doesn't really give the feel of the amp because its so thick after that.

  • @NapoleanXV Agreed, hope they will read this and use it as a tip in the next reviews/sound demos.

  • @NapoleanXV Agreed, hope they will read this and use it as a tip in the next reviews/sound demos. It's really a pity if you think this is the real sound that comes out of the amp and after you bought it, it sounds way different

  • I've got the AD30HTC Dual Channel. U jelly?

  • I personally own this amp......and I have owned other, more expensive amps. This thing for the money blows away so many amps. Best bang for the buck amp if you are in to classic rock>Heavy Rock>Metal. Throw some pedals in front of this amp and you have a perfect setup. Did I mention it is sooooo easy to transport? It's also just as loud as some of my 50watt heads. God Bless Orange. This review is the best review I have ever seen on Youtube of an amp! You guys are doing it right!

  • This is probably the best amp review I've seen. Very detailed on the product/specs and showed every bit of information on your guitar setup, recording setup, and the settings used on the amp. Very good job, hope you guy get more amps to review.

  • @XxJoshbxX Thank you. We're certainly going to try to get more amps to review.

  • @LimitlessStudios do you use an amp for your KrK's? If yes what kind?

  • @amohkoj No, the KRK's are active monitors meaning that they power themselves.

  • wow the strat sounded freat with gain, and the explorer sound really surprised me. What a versatile amp.

  • Lol, you're just as skinny as me! AWESOME!

  • Would yall recommend the Orange Dual Terror, Peavey 5150, or Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier for recording. I like the tones of all 3 and I am just wanting everyone else's personal opinion. Thanks.

  • I own this amp, bought it about a uear ago, FUCK having a review out like this woulda been soo sweet. Easily the best review iv ever seen of this amp, so much better than the guitarworld reviews

  • really great production guys , Keep up the good work ...Up the Irons

  • MIght be the best review i've seen on an amp!

  • @Blomm4n Thanks, we're glad you like it!

  • this thing has balls!!!

  • Very good review lads!

  • I use the Tiny Terror for recording, nice tone. x

  • hey dont you have touch the EQ for the sound..i mean it the straight sound of the amp ?

  • @martvinctor On the amp there are no treble, mid, or bass controls, however, the tone knob is very responsive so you still have quite a bit of versatility with your tones.

  • @LimitlessStudios yeah i know but after you have recording your track...in the software do you touch the eq?

  • @martvinctor For the raw sound clips in the video there is no EQ, however, the mix with drums and bass at the end of the video has a slight bit of EQ on the guitars.

  • Very nice video, as always!

  • great review guys . and you really showed your playing well

  • Oh man, the clips with that strat sound soooo goooood

  • How does this suit gigs and so on? I'm used to playing 100watt heads live but the tonal variety of this head blew my mind and now I'm thinking is 30 watts really sufficient.

  • @B1oodraven This kick threw. Tube amps are always louder than solidstate ones; a good example is the Vox AC30, it'll blow away pretty mucha any solidstate marshall half stack anyone has to offer!

I'm not too familiar with this amp but the OHMS see pretty high which leads me to believe it might not be too loud (the lower the OHMS the louder a peice of equipment can run out...it's all very complicated to explain but thats all you need to know). If you couple it with a decent cab itll be fine

  • @B1oodraven *kicks

    *much

  • pretty nice. you used SSD for the drums? could you send me the patch?

  • @lagiator Yes, the drums are SSD. The patch won't do you much good as the drums are processed outside of the SSD player. I can tell you that the kick is "Kick 14", and the snare is "Snare 11A". Both have heavy compression on them in addition to a bit of EQ to fit them into the mix better.

  • great review

  • I like the info your provide with each sound clip. The amp sounds great too. Not crazy about the layout and features, but it's the sound that counts.

  • Awesome review guys

  • Really great review guys!! Awesome.

  • SOUNDS GOOD

  • 240P FTW
