sc2 is the most hard core brain taking game it takes so much skill concentration and multitasking when in pro levels trust me and total war i like a lot but i some times just sit down and drink water while watching tv and i can win a match the game has no micro or much multitasking sc2 is the best rts ever until sc3 or war4 WHO WANT WARCRAFT 4 THUMBS UP IF YOU DO.

@darkblader619 The song for StarCraft II is called "Savior" from punk rock band Rise Against :D Almost all the videos I've made have songs by Rise Against. If you like it check my Best Games of 2011 - Game of the Year video, the first two songs are from their latest album "Endgame" :D

@ThomasMelo97 I barely played V but I was also a fan of the Civ series, until Civ III, then I kinda stopped playing PC games. But I still remember me and my dad playing the original Civ back in 1991! Man I loved that game, hell I even remember the sounds as if it were yesterday XD

Nothing against star craft (don't fanboy or troll me)( if do I will not reply if troll) but when u win in 1 min or less when every time it may be more blob rushing then strategy, other than what kills what, just a thought but were is men of war!!!!!!!!!! Really that is the best strategy game 4 look and strategy (my thought)

@TwistedTrident I never troll xD everyone has the right to express their opinions and I respect yours. If Men of War had been released in 2010 it would have made the list ^^ As to why I chose StarCraft let's just say it's a great game overall (even if it requires less strategy than some of the others) but it's just my opinion, I'm no expert by any means :)

@TwistedTrident true indeed, men of war is the most complex strategy game i ever played. but its not for everyone i think. you must know a lot about the hardware used in war to be able to play it well. and you must forget other games and start to think as in a real situation because most of what you would like to do you can do, from a sniper in a tree to a knife kill or throw back a grenade.

@TwistedTrident Hard counters are gone in Starcraft 2. They A unit kills B unit has been eliminated. It's more of a mix of A,B,C,D is really good against E,F,G,H but if you use the units effectively and the terrain you still might pull something off anyway if you've played just SC 1 and haven't played SC 2 you should. I do respect your opinion on the best Strategy game tho

men of war should have been on this list, every unit has ammo and the ability to loot dead soldiers, tank-Vs-infantry is realistic as heck(the rifle does no damage to the tank while a anti tank grenade or a HE rocket can destroy hull,main gun,secondary gun or track)

@qutt5 Maybe these other games require less strategy, but the elements at the core of a turn based or real-time strategy game are there.

@MrAlexQuint starcraft 2 isnt strategy. it is just a game where ppl learn patern and where they use the rock-paper-scissor system. This system shouldn't exist in 2010 with all the progress in programming. For me a real strategy game is a game like NTT, Ruse and my favorite one company of heroes.
