Minnesota Gophers

GOPHER PIE:

1 Gopher, skinned & cleaned

1/4c onion

1/4c green pepper

1/2tbsp parsley

1tbsp salt

1/8tsp ppr

4.5tbsp flour

3c broth

Cut Gopher into 2-3 pieces. Boil 1 hr. Remove meat from bones in large pieces. Add onion, green ppr, parsley, salt, ppr & flour to broth; stir until thick. If broth doesn't measure 3c, add water. Add meat to broth mixture; stir. Pour into baking dish. Roll enough to make it fit dish. Put dough on top of meat; bake 400F 30-40 min. or until dough is brown. Serves 6-8.

Guys, Minnesota Football is going to be better than ever. Not only is Tim Brewster a great recruiter, but it is easier to get top talent now, because the Gophers will have their own, out-door, on-campus stadium soon. Here are three reasons for Minnesota's struggles in 2007:

1. They had a weak team. Had Mason been there, they would have only won 2 or 3 more games at best.

2. The Gophers were learning a new coaching system, and learning a new system doesn't happen overnight.
