Just checked the current ratings of this movie and others listed. At rottan tomatoes, this movie actually has the highest rating out of all the films based on games that have come out. Sense it has yet to come out in america, the current rating of positive reviews is 59%. Mortal Kombat is second. With the first resident evil movie at 3rd. So right now, this is the best game movie out right now

Think about it. Hollywood and video games have a SORDID history. Just about every single live action adaptation of a video game has sucked big time.

It seems they are basing it on the newer one and not the awesome old DOS one of yesteryear. I am actually okay with that as I grew up playing the original and adding a plot any more complex than "Save the princess in an hour or die, watch your step around the snap traps" would ruin the charm of the game.

Ok i know this is only the trailer but what the hell have they done to the story, in the first game he is a stubborn arrogant prince whose personality grows when he has to face the consequences of his actions (opening the sands), but in this it shows him as a orphen who gets chosen as a prince?.

I don't really know much about the film but i'm guessing this is very loosely based on the games rather than an actual full-on adaptation.

Everyone, the british accents come for the video game. In the video game, both the prince and Farah (who was the princess in the game, but the one in the movie has a different name) had british accents. Why? I have no clue. The video game designers just wanted it like that. My best guess is that since this is set in the past if anyone did know how to speak english in Persia, they would have learned from the british, not americans.

I don't care what people make of the accents or if Jake wasnt good for the role, bottom line, it looks way good, it fits perfectly with the game. I think Jake sounds like him, maybe looks a bit like the prince but we get these things all the time with other films, americans or whoever who play different nationalities etc. You guys must remember that in the game, the prince does have an english accent so Jake was only portraying on what he sees in the game, so I think he has done a good job!

Prince Tristan? He doesn't have a name. From Jordan Mechner's prince to Ubisoft's two thrones, not once his name is mentioned and he is always called Prince of Persia. Other than that, the prince has got an attitude, you see it in sands of time game. Here he acts more like a.... not so attitutish. And his voice isn't manly enough here. And he is clothed like warrior within when it is named Sands of Time. I feared this would happen if a movie came out. But the name Disney shows some promise.
