Just to set the record str8: The caller was Captain Janks, not Howard. Janks is a long-time listener of the show. He does not work for Howard. He makes these calls on his own, and then calls in to Howards show and plays them over the phone. Howard and his staff have nothing to do with these calls until Janks calls in during the show. Probably his most famous call was to Peter Jennings on ABC during the OJ Simpson Bronco chase. He claimed to be at OJ's house, but was actually in Philly.
