No those are Roman Warships look at at the Stone Towers ! and the Romans went farther around the world then the Egyptians, ofcourse the Phoenicians in 1500BC were the First major explorers of the Known Western World in Anicient Times later Conquered by the Romans in 202BC ! And there Clearly not Viking ships since they were the first to set foot in Canada around 800AD !

@TheTellWhat Use ctrl+shift+c, type in the box move objects on after your sim started talking to someone. After that, take the sim to the place you whant and ta-da! Looks like he's talking to nothing or to himself.

The Goods thing living on that island is he does not have to Pay Taxes, Be Robbed, Work for Money, buy Food & He has a perfect set up, a well built up Camp, old wrecked ships with a large supply of wood and furniture, or Stuff to keep him Comfortable & not too fare from away from civilization, Some Castaways are bad off then Covan, look at Ben Gunn on Treasure Island ! in many ways Covan has a perfect Retirement plan with no one to tell him No and how he should live his life, He is a Free man !

The make the place realistic, you could of use "testingcheatsenabled true" to delete the bin and letter box, but the place looks fantastic. :P I'm currently making a large world. :)
