  • I like these curve more tha a woman's

  • what is the name of this song?????

  • This is pornography.

  • Please Talk me the Title Of the song in this videos PLZ PLZ !

  • what is that black thing that follow the aircraft behind the vertical stabilizers???

  • dogor64 why they dont put up the landing gear is because this is a test flight and the first so if it wouldnt fly they would have to do a emergency landing.

  • AIRBUS FTW

  • Hi there. What an amazing aircraft it is. My dad is currently training to be a pilot for the 787 the will eventually be delivered to virgin atlantic and he cant wait! What is the songs title please?

  • 'cause they make speed, stability and grag test for all the situation in which the gear is down..but laer they will retract it

  • The Entire Airplane Is Beautiful...What a Precious Flight... (Y)

  • one beautiful airplane :)

  • its wings are just beautiful

  • Very smooth take off

  • hmmmm nyc, hope u have a nyc journey!!!!!!

  • Final gauntlet test on the 747-8 was completed last Saturday so we should see this beast taxing around real soon.

Rumor said first flight should be around early February.

There was also a small delay on the flight testing of the 787 due a small piece of cheesecloth found in the fuel system. The testing should be resumed soon.

  • naughty bird

  • why do they not retract the landing gears for so long? :S

  • because it's kind of a test flight so they keep them out in case of emergencies

  • Later this month, we will be able to see the first flight of the 747-8 :)

  • VERY Nice! Way to go Boeing!

  • shibbiness the 787 is boeings new luxury aircraft, and much more technologically advanced.

  • Bravo Boeing! Two years of delays, but who cares. Just look at that sight! I live for moments like this.

  • someone fill me in, seems like a normal plane to me?

  • @shibbiness

Boeing states that it will be more fuel-efficient than earlier Boeing airliners and will be the first major airliner to use composite materials for most of its construction. (no aluminium used in its construction so it is lighter and stronger)

there are plenty more benefits that go along with this but I don't feel like listing them all...

there have been many of articles release about it.... it shouldn't be hard to find any..

  • thanks

  • @shibbiness the wings are one of a kind, called raked wings. modified special engines for more efficiency and noise reduction, state of the art cockpit technology, with a display used in fighter jets. A work of art.

  • I help build this plane and I am still working on all the other 787s. Good to see it finally fly.

  • are those chase planes beside it?

  • about fricckiin time!!!

  • I have had a look into this plane using the info on wikipedia. Seems like there is not a lot of difference between the 787 and the 777. I have found that this plane is much cheaper to buy and its engines are not as powerful. Basically it should also have better maintenance as it is a modern plane. I wondered why the wings started to bend when it got up to speed. Because their made of carbon fibre. Good stuff that. I use it in my RC planes.

  • It really does look a superbly beautiful aeroplane. Thank goodness it did such a successful first flight.

  • hey people what is the reason for the pilot dont up the landing gear?

  • Common procedure in Aviation, to avoid any unnecesary risk during a first flight.

  • @arsenium666 what's the risk?

  • @mevlutunlu42

Not deploying correctly the landing gear could lead to a crash land= Upset of the testing and certification process!

Which would add another delay to the programm (3 years behind schedule yet)

    ; )

  • Another modern plane in the sky. They are really taking off arent they.

Why is this bluetimbre guy taking the piss out of you.

    Is he jealous about somthing.

  • omg what song is this i LOVE it!

  • Look at how much wing flex is designed in ... wow!

  • boeing pwnz

  • Beautiful airplane. Can't wait to see it in airports all over the world.

  • Here is our e-mail exchange:

It is a beauty, however I like technique the most, the way the capt. tracked the centerline so well on takeoff.

  • It's elegant - an an elasticy kind of way :-D

A true stablemate of the B52, which must be the ultimate bendy winged jet monster

  • 0:41, the moment is there!

  • If you know me...you´d noticed than I´m one of the most critic against Boeing on the Tube..if not the Number 1.

That´s why after all this years...we must congratulate Boeing for being able to put a new Bird in the SKY.

    Well Done...finally.

  • @arsenium666 i like Boeing but I hate how they go 10-15 years between first flights of all-new aircraft! Airbus seems to be cranking out a new plane every 5-7 years. That's what Boeing needs to do. I say they need to have the rollout--or better yet, the first flight--on July 15, 2016; that's their 100th anniversary. They MUST start working on the 797 now, once they deliver the 787!

  • What a gorgeous airplane. Too bad you can't hear those monster Trents.

  • OMG, I don't care how if this plane is 2.5 years late. I am in love with her.

  • Its wings are absolutely beautiful!!! Cheer for Boeing!!!!!

  • Beautiful, just beautiful, look how the wings move

  • Probably the best video of this event I've found. News helicopter footage?

And yes, the A380 is a technological beauty, but few airliners can compete with the 787 in terms of pure looks :)

  • did they inteionally leave the gear on the plane out?

  • yes. they do this in order to neutralize all systems and limit the number of operation happening all at the same time in order to provide accurate computer read out off there test data. If I am not mistaken the will leave it out the entire flight

  • ah thanks, learn something new and intresting everyday

  • Yes. For several reasons that's normally done on a first test flight.

  • Good for Boeing...they´ll need to deliver to catch up Airbus:

    219 Net Orders for Airbus.

    118 Net Orders for Boeing.

If ain´t Airbus...crash is around the corner.

  • ummm....840 orders if I am correct. This will be the most successful aircraft program since the 737 or ever for that matter.....if they can deliver. I am sure they will.

  • The 787 does not compete with the A380. It competes with the smaller A330 and upcoming A350 XWB. The 747-800 will compete with the A380.

  • Yeah, you're right...and yet there are still a lot of people keep making comparison videos between the 787 and A380...
