  • i could make mash potatos in a shorter period of time with a fucking hand masher?

  • @seckixf I don't think so. The potatoes take the same amount of time to cook whether in a Thermomix or on the stove top.

  • Those aren't mashed potatoes.

  • Thanks babie

  • A couple of suggestions for new Thermomix users like me. You do not state the speed for cooking with the butterfly in. From the video it would appear to be speed 2. Then at the end, you do not say (or show) whether to take the butterfly out to puree on speed 4. This may be obvious to experienced users, but not to me. However it sounds like a great method and I look forward to trying it out when I feel sure I am doing the right thing. Thanks for taking the trouble.

  • @kayembee1 Thanks for stopping by. The potatoes are cooked at speed 1-2. Also cooking time depends on type of potatoes. I believe in this one I used yukon golds. Russet tend to cook quicker and drier, I usually add butter at the end. The butterfly stays in for the pureeing. If you listen, you can hear it when the potatoes are done cooking, broken down, and ready for pureeing. Enjoy.
