You know why Trotsky is not given credit for creating the Red Army, don't you

Kalinin1917 ? Are you not a student of Russian history? Stalin discredited him

for his "antiparty activities". In reality, it was Stalin vs. Trotsky and Stalin won

the struggle as Lenin's successor. Since then, every communist speaks with

contempt for Trotsky---although I think that is being unfair. He was a good

communist. But to oppose Stalin is like opposing God in communist semantics.

You might be too tolerant. Lev Davidovitch Bronstein (Trotzky)'s last speech was to ask the USA to attack the USSR. As for Katyn, the NKVD shot anybody who didn't freeze a half-second after hearing STOÏ KTO ! never looking for excuses or hiding themselves in the least. On the other hand the 150th American Regiment (of the SS, led by Otto Skorzeny) did funny things with K98 Jumbo's shooting 7/62M/M x 63 = 30 ought six Springfield, Stenss Mk-5 with silencers (9mm, etc.).

I liked this video, it felt like a genuine propaganda-film. Although I'm a bit disappointed that you didn't give any room to the 1939 invasion of some parts of eastern Europe. Although not very flattering for Soviet-sympathizers, I believe it to be a necessary part. :) Otherwise, great video.

Hell, buddy. Let's get to the bottom of this. My first post talked about how the video (note) felt like a real propaganda-film, and I thought footage of the 1939-invasion should have been in the video.

Now, I've translated the song. In one line it says: From Moscow to the River Elbe were - went to the Elbe! - And from the Volga to the Danube.

I see that as a subjective opinion if the 1939-invasion is not included in the crusade from Moscow to Berlin. Buddy.

I don't think that Trotsky needs to be mentioned, because despite that he was a hero in 1917, he was later the bandit in 30's. At "Nashe politicheskie zadachi", he praises the role of "Ukrainian Nationalist Movement", in reality, a movement of nazi who helped Hitler to slay its own people. Besides that, as a good betrayer, Trotsky became an FBI agent. There is a document from FBI which proofs that, google search and you will confirm that I speak the truth.

Kalinin, I ve watched most of the videos you posted and I think that they are great. I love Red Army Choirs. I've also read some discusses between you and others. Sure that Soviet Army did many crimes, just like other armies, but I'm also convinced that those who enjoy Alexandrov's Choirs are not automatically some nostalgics of the Soviet reign. This is not a period of the History which people can discuss quietly.

It is clear that this choir sings about glorious Red army and USSR, its logical because its army choir. The Polish government at the eve of the WWII was also a fascist government. Polish dreamed of alliance with Germany and invasion of Ukraine. AJP Taylor, one of the most famous English historians on WWII, also proved it in his book, "The Origin of WWII." The thing is, you have no primary sources backing up this claim. The fact is that Yeltsin had great Western pressures behind him to admit that the USSR was behind Katyn, to discredit the USSR and to introduce capitalism as its replacement. He had the political motivation to say that Katyn was done by the USSR, while the Soviets always said that they werent behind it. The soviets might have executed a couple of high ranking polish leaders for their crimes against humanity, but nothing else.

And yes, the migrations of people from Poland and such to the Soviet hinterlands (Siberia) is something that saved millions of jews and other oppressed people's from certain death by the nazi hordes. The deportations to the Soviet hinterlands (Siberia) saved them, since the Germans never reached it when they attacked! Katyn "massacre" is a nazi propaganda stunt, they probably shot them themselves and blamed it on the soviets. And even if the Soviets executed a couple of polish collaborators why care, the Polish were nazis themselves.. conquering huge areas of the USSR during the civil war in 1918-21.
