As a male to female transwoman, I know that this is hard to digest for many people. Keep in mind that one's intuitive gender is not up for debate, it is his and his reasoning alone, we do not live in his body.

I just think this is beautiful. Let them live their lives. The baby wouldn't be adversely affected if it wasn't for the heterosexual norm, and the picture of an "normal family". This family, and those parents are just as good as anyone else. I can't see why there should be any differences. Have you asked multiple doctors? If not, you may want to consider asking someone else. It could have been just the one doctor. I've met many doctors who think they know what is best by taking one look at a person, and it has nothing to do with actual health complications. If they feel like restricting you from something, they'll do it without reason.

I just think this is beautiful. Let them live their lives. The baby wouldn't be adversely affected if it wasn't for the heterosexual norm, and the picture of an "normal family". This family, and those parents are just as good as anyone else. I can't see why there should be any differences. As long as you love your baby, it doesn't matter if you're a man, woman, none of it, both, or whatever.

Wow, to be honest I'm a bit surprised at Barbara. She isn't normally so brash. However I do agree with what she is saying at heart. I think Thomas is kind of selling out the male gender and more importantly transmen everywhere who are trying to justify this change to themselves, that male reproduction IS important. We know that if a biological man tried an ectopic abdominal pregnancy it wouldn't work like that: he'd be rendered infertile. It does seem like he wants to have it all.

And above all, since when was injecting testosterone legalized to cosmetic the human body? It's illegal for men who want a bigger & a more manly physique, however it's legal for women if they claim they want to be a man? That is fucked up and based on my knowledge, it's illegal to prescribe testosterone if you're not suffering an injury or if your testosterone levels aren't low for your gender. This is how fucked up the system as well as freedom of expression is. This should be illegal!

You may have a slight point, but I can still disagree with you.
When it comes to steroids being taken by, let's say, an athelete, it is done for the purpose to become bigger and, theoreticaly stronger, or a better performer.
When taken as a cosmetic, it is fine, because none of those issues come into play.

Anyway, your naturally small physique is not a very good reason to give you steroids. If I were a doctor I would have no problem giving them to you to make you feel better about yourself, but there are complications that could happen if I were to do that.

I mean, I feel like a 20 year old in a 15 year old body, much like Tom claimed to be a "man trapped in a ladys body", yet she received the testosterone for cosmetic purposes for the same reason I would use it; for more of a manly physique because thats the person I feel that I should be like outside. Its illegal unless you claim you want it to be a sex change. My argument is is the US have certain laws, they should stick with it or else they should have open arms to EVERYONE

And scientifically it was proven extra testosterone to men is good, however it's still illegal because it's risking a drug use for more of a reason to please you rather than save you, which is exactly how drugs as strong as testosterone should be used. Only problem is the United States is breaking their own laws to please the, well, "unique" people rather than giving the fair treatment to everyone. It's bias and it doesn't make sense at all. I am for banning drugs if it won't save your life.

You must not be doing your research thoroughly enough. Plenty of men are taking testosterone for multiple reasons. Including delayed maturity.
Have you asked multiple doctors? If not, you may want to consider asking someone else. It could have been just the one doctor. I've met many doctors who think they know what is best by taking one look at a person, and it has nothing to do with actual health complications. If they feel like restricting you from something, they'll do it without reason.

What do you call someone who has XXY chromosomes (called Klinefelter's syndrome). Approximately 0.2% of men have it.
In case you are not aware, women are "supposed" to have XX and men XY. Klinefelter's is just ONE of MANY chromosomal differences. There is also XXYY. And then there's Turner's syndrome where women are born with just one X chromosome, etc. etc. etc.) And this is just sex! Gender is a whole other area.
A vagina or penis alone does not define someone's sex.

He can be the father all he wants. But he is still the biological mother, ie the parent that donated the maternally methylated chromosomes which are within the ova that he ovulated. He was inseminated by sperm. The biological father was the sperm donor.

Again your argument is legal. Gender roles are not derived from anatomy. The roles themselves vary drastically from culture to culture. If it was anatomic it would be uniform around the world and species to species, but it obviously isn't. Example: men hold hands in Saudi Arabia, here that is feminine.

I am a gay too, and couldn't agree with you less. If you are truly gay you should notice that if anything this child is given a gift. It will grown up without any sort of prejudice, which is a sociological burden that often holds people back.
Further if you were selfish you would realize that with this argument the focus of conservatives will pass from gay to transgender issues, and would actually lower the hardship you cited, to future generations of homosexuals. It is social progress.

Thank you for stating what I argue with these people all the time. Gender is not anatomical, but sociological.
I don't know how to make people understand that this isn't an issue. A child was born. It was a miracle no matter how it was achieved.
Oddly enough these people would prefer that the child not be borne, but they all likely fight the pro-life fight. They also usually support the death penalty to further contradict their views.
