  • Omg nvm it works !!!!!

  • Haha true 19*19 won't work . I m not that genius ._. maybe that's why I m here xD

  • yea but if you reverse the numbers, it doesnt work

  • try it with 19*19 i cant get it work

  • what range of number that this trick can work..?

  • if u do it with other math problems its completly fake orunless u have very low numbers!

  • @101supermariofan, see the video response I have put under this video. I have used this same Rainbow Multiplication technique to calculate the randoms numbers given by the audience.

  • @101supermariofan He's right. Try high numbers and it doesn't work. Exp 77 * 64, 79 * 98, ...

  • @ngNudraconis actually, IT DOES WORK!!

  • @ngNudraconis I tried 77 * 64, It worked perfectly, since 7*6 is 42 which is the first number, 7*4 is 28, so 8 is the ending number, and 2 will be added to the middle number, now 7*6 is 42 again and 7*4 is 28, and 42+28 = 70, so your middle number is 0 but you have to add the 2 from the last number, so your middle number is 2 and your 7 is moved on to the first number, and 2+7 is 9, so you get 4928, which is the correct answer

  • my daughter shes 12 and got them right just by using her head

  • Great !! keep encouraging your daughter. Best Wishes - Shahryar (Glad2teach)

  • thanx i have math exam and it depens on the time so thank you again and teach us more and more

  • waahahahah i solved one right!! now i feel clever thankk you :)

  • Awesome!!! Thanks.

  • ugh...this fuckin worked

  • Thanks I was faking in math because I couldn't multiply fast enough to finish a test so now I am the first one to finish thank you

  • Then how do you do 35x36

  • Awesome videos...please make more...God Bless!

  • I love you mister.

  • Glad2teachalgebra i tryed his methot with 25x41 with his method and i got 1,025 idk what did u get but this methot work so when u get 825 u have one 2 on top of 8 and u get 1025

    simple

  • 4 sec

  • YOU ARE A GENIUS!

  • It doesn't work for other times I did 35x62 and it equaled 183610

  • @SuperBeehee You're doing it all wrong. You multiply the first with last, the the two in between to get 1810. Now the (3x2) + (5x6) which = 36 is added to the two digits in between 1810; the 81. 6 + 1 is 7, and the 8 + 3 is 11. Then carry the first digit from the 11 to the first digit of 1810 to get the rquired: 2170.

  • @SuperBeehee It works. It just takes two lines. 3 x 6 = 18, blank, 5 x 2 = 10 so you write down a 0 and carry the one to the middle. For the middle you get 36 + the 1 you carried which is 37. Write down the 7 in the middle. You have to carry the 3 from the 37 to the 1st number(18). Add 3 to the 18 and you get 2170.

  • its nice. im glad i watched this video :D

  • so much thank you

  • What about like 39 times 49, im too lazy to count but that doesnt work or does it

  • Everyone Knows this method, BTW I make videos like this, only A LOT MORE!!!

  • i am trying to solve 23x57 and i cant get 1311 in any method. what am i doing wrong????

  • heey proof me 89x99=?

  • fuck that voice is annoying

  • Good ol FOIL

  • OMG ur amazing , ur world's best maths teacher ever thank u very much u really helped us.

  • i have a doubt i calculated 12x97 i got 11514 but the right answer is 1164

  • @LegendHeroesSlayer as you can see in the uploader's comments you have to carry one of the digits

  • This is so brilliant...I have my adv diploma in Accounting and this is great. Thank you so much for sharing. So simple. I never remember School teachers explaining it so simply.

  • Does this work with 3 digit by 2, or 3 digit by 3?

  • Yeah well what if after multiplying the last digit of each number you get a two-digit number? It doesn't work then.

  • thnxx man

  • please send me the url of your 2 next videos of multiplying two digits no. with three digits no. and three digits no. with three digits no.

  • I really love your helpfull tricks but i am just wondering how to use your method for 47x86 beacuse i got 40042 but the answer is 4042. I am not able to purchase all the tricks so i was wondering if you could help with this please.

  • Dear Glad2teachAlgebra, I love your methods and tutorials.

Thats all I want to say. Thank you.

  • this really good stuff

  • how do you do you solve it when the numbers are bigger? like 45 x 53.

  • @SuperAmira85 It's 2385 by following his method and confirmed it by calculator! And I'm 14! :)

  • okey can you please solve 15 x 25 :/

  • how do you know where to put the space?

  • do you get my username?

  • DUDE, YOU JUST HELPED ME ON MY SATs. Why aren't teachers teaching this method?

  • im a midget didget

  • What about 48x25?

  • @Nickko4 exactly the same way. 4*2, 4*5+8*2, 8*5 = 8,36,40. the position is (1*100),(1*10), (1), so you get 800,360,40. Add em and you get 1200

  • it's way easier for 41x31 to just multyply 41 by 10=410 times three is 1230 plus one time 41 is 1271, its more accurate and faster....

  • Question:

how would you do 34x 26?

    So you times 3 by 2 = 6

    4 by 6 = 24..

    would you do 624

or would you add the 2 to the 6 givving it 8_4?

  • thanks teacher, your videos really get through, like the rainbow method, was noahs ark method the one before lol cheers

  • Well press like if u are bored on internet and u come up with an idea of watching math done faster......lolllllll

  • Thank yiu for sharing this great clear example

  • He sounds like a terriost thumbs up if you agree

  • i'm still slow

  • this gentleman was awesome enough to post this, and almost all of you are getting down on him for quite trivial reasons. if you have such an issue dont watch it lol. on the other hand, if i wanted to take my time id write out the problem, i wanted to find a way to multiply double digit numbers in my head, and now i can. so ty GLad2teachalgebra

  • This confuses the shit out of me when there's carrying from the ones to the middle to the last digit

  • Wooow i wish was as smart as you seriously id be getting A*

  • stop lieing mate 52*22 equals 1144 in my calculator but by using r method i get 10144 think about it mate

  • @parvathycift, 47x86, you do the rainbow calculation which= 80 then put the 3rd digit as 0 and carry the 8 onto the first 2 digits that you found by multiplying the first digit in 47 & 86 to make 32+8=40, 40 0 8, 4008

  • @TakeArmsAndLegs yeah, but how did you get the 8 in 4008? multiplying the 7 from 47 with the 6 in 86 = 42. how do you get from 42 to 8?

  • @roleychiu SORRY CANT BE BOTHERED EXPLAINING AS I COMMENTED ON THIS A MONTH AGO BUT IM SURE IF YOU TRY ENOUGH UL GET IT

  • Comment removed

  • 46 x 82 = 3772 where out of 6 x2=12 only 2 is taking & 1 is carry over.in such way u try...

  • Thanks for ur tutorials...its really helpful. But u pls tell me how to calculate 47 X 86? I gets ans as 40042 but the actual ans is 4042. You pls tell me where the mistake is...

  • So that's the rainbow method...I've been calling it the arc method for a very long time.

  • Screw the old school!!! The answer is correct then what's the problem?? This is GREAT! I love it!

  • In your case both the calculator and my method are lying. You are getting a wrong answer by both means. Kindly learn my method properly before criticising.

    25 times 41 (by Rainbow )

Mutiply first Digit with first and last Digit with last and leave one blank space in middle

    8__5

Now do Rainbow to get 20+2 = 22

This 22 has to be adjusted in one blank space, thus one of its 2 would get Carried to 8. That would give 10)

    So the Answer is 10 2 5

  • @Glad2teachAlgebra uhhh its hard i gthink :( i am sorry for crisitsing.. but i get stuck on numerous occasions

  • @Glad2teachAlgebra I got 1025 via your method for this question. Don't know why the other person didn't?

  • @Glad2teachAlgebra how to do 56 x 97

  • @MrSmigul Your so wrong watch his video again and solve your problem with his method and you will get the right answer

  • @MrSmigul lol just 8+2 = 10 and u find 1025

  • @MrSmigul

Hey man you did the methode wrong cause I just tried your question and got it right the answer is 1025

Itsa al about the formating of your numbers look back at the video and try the question again.............

  • @MrSmigul u stupid ass, before commenting, learn how to use a stupid calculator....

  • @MrSmigul you are the dumbest guy I have ever seen, and your Chinese calculator as well 25x41 is 1025 lets get back to the method 25x41 2x4=8 ok now we have 8_ 5x1=5 now we have 8_5 2x1+4x5=25 8_5 add 8_ to 25 = 1025
  • @MrSmigul where have you learned to manipulate a calculator ???

  • @MrSmigul first of all don't immediately believe everything your calculator says.. estimate before: 25 x 5 already is 125 so 25 x 41 must be a lot higher..

  • @MrSmigul omg ur so stupid i can figure tht out without the method ur stupid

  • @MrSmigul Wow, you are stupid.... -.-

  • what about like 46x82 when you do 6x2 what wouldu do with the 12?

  • This is sooo Awsome!!!!! Thank you Sooo much.

  • chuck norris can divide by 0.

    .

    .

    .

chuck norris counted to infinite, twice

  • How can I answer with your method the following question: 66X14

  • MASHALLAH MASHALLAH

    u r so SMART

i dont understand when ppl trying to help me but i do undertand ur TUTORIAL they r very very helpful

    THANX u soooooo MUCH

May ALLAH bless u for helping other ppl :)

  • May God bless us all and help peace to prevail

  • why is it not working for 72x27, if I use your trick it is giving answer 19314 but the actual answer is 1944. Please explain. Thanks.

  • @getsamad Because you left a space between the two 14s from multiplying the tens digits and the units digits. In the examples in the video, the units digits came out to single digit numbers. In this one, that space gets a 1 carried from the 14. Like this:

    1414

Now, when you do the rainbow multiplication, you're adding together the 49 + 4 plus the carried 1. That adds up to 54. The 4 goes in the tens column. The 5 gets added to the 4 in the hundreds column. 1944.

  • @getsamad My reply was a bit difficult to explain in the comments section, but I hope that was understandable.

  • awesme

  • Thank you come again !!

  • How do you do 45 x 23 in this strategy ?

  • And if it is 44x52

  • Hello, the formula doesn't seem to work for the problem 56 *25 what am I doing wrong? Thx for your time.

  • Awesome!

  • I've watched all your video's , and thank you very much for posting these videos , :)

  • guleid: good trick to know.

  • wow this is so easy. I was searching for brainetics, I was wondering if that guy copied your technique.

  • I think this way is faster and easier (or at least it is for me). For example:

    41 * 31 = 41 * 30 + 41 = 1230 + 41 = 1271

    32 * 21 = 32 * 20 + 32 = 640 + 32 = 672

    44 * 52 = 44 * 50 + 88 = 2200 + 88 = 2288

This way, however, gets a bit "harder" with some numbers (nothing a little multitasking and a decent memory can't fix) :

    47 * 86 = 86 * 50 - 86 * 3 = 86 * 10 * 5 - 258 = 860 * 5 - 258 = 4300 - 258 = 4042

(it actually took me longer to write the steps than it did to calculate the result mentally)

  • This is good because this can help students expand to multiplying algebraic binomials.

  • dude!!your my new best friend!!!

  • this is why i love indian people they are the best

  • Dear Zalria13, glad that you found the technique useful. The whole idea of making a Video tutorial is to make a student playback a video as many times as he desires . You do not have to be apologetic for it.

  • You are misleading the people. Fast calculation is not so important in Mathematics. The real important thing is logic. If the calculation is so critical, you should use calculator or abacus.

    44x52 should be taught like this. (40+4)x(50+2)= 2000 + 200 +80 +8 =2288

  • Dear Crazywzd, in exam the students are required to solve maximum Math Ques in a limited time that too without a Calculator. These EasyCal techniques are my 'perspective' on how to enhance the calculation speed of human mind.

If they are not useful for you then leave them. It is not a 'presciption' that you have to follow.. However these techniques are based on a concrete logic . Math was designed to be taught this way. Just copy and paste "Base 10" in google and read what it has to say.

  • @crazywzd I generally try to do that in my head when I'm in a test, but studying for computerized aptitude tests like the gre made me realize that my arithmetic is really weak, even if I'm an above average student in calculus and physics. This sort of tricks are very useful in cutting my time on the simple arithmetic problems in these sort of tests.

  • @crazywzd it's useful for tests like GRE and GMAT if you want a big score, not for school exams where you have enough time to do all calculation in the conventional way

  • @crazywzd

Ahh usinf the foil methode from algebra and using that for real figures I havent seen that befor but its good man :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Glad2teachAlgebra Scientific Notation? :)

  • lol 2:10 cookie find out this 44 x 52

  • how would you do 99 x 99 ?

  • @styles786 9801

  • I left school not understanding simple times tables - watching your video examples, I think I finally get it - I'm 26 btw

  • I still can't do this in my head ~><~

  • i like your accent

    haha nice math too

  • this doesnt work with 47 x 86

  • @MrPulpo111 Really?? Let me try... =/

    47 x 86

32_42 Multiply first and last digits...

    (4*6)+(7*8) = 80

32_80_42 Add 8 to 2... remove 0 (this is somethin' I discovered myself)

    Answer: 4042 :)

    Works with 36x42 too...

    -Neutomy's sister

  • omg, thanks bro

now i'll have no more stress in math

    <3

  • you're best :D

    thanks thanks thanks ...

  • Dude you are awesome!!

I hated doing maths but after watching this... I LOVE MATHS!!

And I am getting better marks at school

    thnx

  • i need help when i use this "trick"with 43 x 27 it doesn't work i'm sure im doing sumthing wrong look : 43 x 27 8_21 8 "32"21 1321

with a calculater the awnser is 1321

    please help

  • @MrAndyaz

    43 x 27

    (4*7) + (3*2) = 34

    8_34_21

Carry the 3 to 8 and the 2 to 4

    == 1161

....your original calculation was incorrect, but it looks like your initial query is right, and that this tip doesnt work for any sum that returns a 2 digital result that doesnt include a zero in it. You have to carry the extra value, but this wasn't explained in the video.

  • wow! my brother has Asperger's syndrome and he's been coming up with tricks like this for maths for years. these people are amazing :D

  • This is really basic, everyone should have learned this a looong time ago..FOIL (first outside inside last), just follow those order of operations, and add Outside and Inside together, and you'll have answer: 32 x 21 (3x2, 3x1+2x2, 2x1)

  • Wow you are one smart man.

Thanks for helping me teach my students :)

  • Dear 123Proudmama , glad that 'we' could assist the students :)

  • ... I was so pleased with myself with I did 32 x 21... :D

  • if he did that with a mouse then thats really good lol

  • You sir are a genius

  • Hi, how would I work out 25 x 25 using this formula? Thanks.

  • @stemull74 it is easy 2 x 2 is first number, then u use a blank space, then u come to a 5x5 part. it is 25. so u write 5 as a last digit, and put 2 on top of blank, not on blank. now u have to 2x5+2x5 and that is 20. and 20 u write on the way that last digit is on top of blank space, and 2 from earlier. and first digit ,that is 2 u write on top of 4. now u have just to sum vertically. and that is it.

  • @dudefromserbia 2x2=4 dont know why you need to go into more detail =/

  • wat about if the second digits are larger? like 37x48

  • @DrQlimakz 3x14=12(00) 7x4=28+3x8=24, 24+28=52(0) then you will have 172(0) 7x8=56. 1720+56=1776 :) the year of which the illuminati was found, (on may 1st by Adam Weishaupt).

  • best video of multi[lication

  • You know, I thought at first it was all a hoax. But after watching this video and giving it a shot, it's really awesome! Not only that, it's really really easy! Now it's 3:22am and I'm still doing math!

  • I can't understand him!

  • @foxfreestyling09 44x27? doesnt work with ur way

  • @theCr9Ace yea it does

  • @theCr9Ace yes it does you get 2368 remember to carry over the 3.

  • @theCr9Ace you have to carry the 2 digit numbers in the answer like he says at 2:52. you initially get 8_8 and the last 8 is 28, but the 2 gets carried to the space and added to the 36 that will go there. that 3 also then gets carried to the first 8. and you end up with 1188, the product of 44 and 27.

  • NICE!!!

  • 1) Hold your breath.

    2) Copy all of these steps.

    3) Go to two other video.

    4) Paste it in the comments.

  • that is easy, you make it way to complicated. 41*30+41 = 1271

  • how to get the result of 32x212

  • i did it in 3 seconds in my head

  • is there some one can me how to do the multiplication ...

between three or three numbers ...

    means ...

    767*675..

how can we do that according to this property ..

    tel me..????????

    really confused ...!!!!!!

  • @punitkuma Hey, what he's doing here is: (a+b)(c+d) and then the FOIL method (ac + ad+bc + bd; distributive property for 2 term expressions). So what you want to do is (a+b+c)(d+e+f) and do the distributive property for 3 term expressions. His method doesn't map exactly to 3 term expression multiplication because the FOIL method is just a memorization tool. Ex: 767*675 = (700+60+7)(600+70+5) = 517725.

  • is there any one tell me how to do multiplication 32*212=?

how can we do this ?

can somebody tell me this according to this trick ...!!

  • 73x69... i keep getting 5027. calculator says 5037.. little help plz

  • @cmeza1985 you just made one small mistake 73 * 69

    7*6 = 42 9*3 = 27 do rainbow multiplication 7*9 = 63 3*6 = 18 now add the results 63 + 18 =81

    42+8 = 50 then add 1 to 2 (from 27) that gives you 5037

  • @cmeza1985 remember multiplication involving 4 digits can only give you a max of 4 digits for answer. proof?

    99 * 99 = 9801

  • @cmeza1985

hey your answer is wrong ...

73*69 is 5037 accordiing to this property ..

  • This is very helpful. :) Thanks

  • WOW!! never seen this method! Awesome!

  • if numbers end to 1 then example (21 x 51) then:

    2x5= 10  2+5=7 and 1 so we have: 1071 easier????

    Hit like :P

  • I dont get it I multiplied 34 x 96 and I got 32424 and I checked it with the calculator and i got 3624 what the heck I don't get it!! some one message me a video response!!

  • @lolilol114 dude, you have to carry the first 4 over the first 2. When you do that you get 3624. xD

  • @lolilol114 let me try and help. 34 * 96. first you multiply first numbers to each other 3*9 = 27 (this gives you the potential first numbers of your answer) then you multiply the second numbers 4*6 = 24 ( this gives you the potential last digits of your answer). now do rainbow multiplication

    3*6 = 18 4*9 = 36 then add them 18+36=54. add 5 to 27. 27+5 =32 now add 4 to the 2(from 24).

so you end up with 3264. P.S multiplication with 4 digits will give max of 4 numbers for result.
