The programme it was from could have been Gas Street, which was Central's sub-Pebble Mill attempt at a lunchtime chat show, which was on circa 1988 (or perhaps 1989 as mentioned below), anc could have been Central's attempt to get the Granada This Morning slot. The title gets its name from the Gas Street where Central's studios moved to in Birmingham from Broad Street.
@Debbie321lopez He actually died 4 years after this episode. He references his friend Kenneth Williams dying the year before, which was in 1988, so the clip is 1989 - Kenneth C died in 1993. According to Wikipedia it was in Noel Edmonds' Telly Addicts in which he died two days after appearing.
The programme was an ITV lunchtime chatshow called Gas Street which only ran a few weeks. Vince Hill alternated with Suzi Quatro as the host/interviewer.
I remember watching this particular interview over 20 years ago, amazing to see it again after so long. Thanks for uploading it.
vince hill is the worst interviewer on the EARTH & his flairs u could fly 2 the moon on (HOPE HE DOES TOO!) he's crap at interviewing!!!!!!!!! i feel sorry for kenneth connor having 2 put up with that twat!!
The interviewer is Vince Hill. Hill is better known as a singer, and this clip would probably be from GAS STREET, a series of midday entertainment programmes he co-hosted with Suzi Quatro in the late 1980s.

Kenneth Connor, a great actor.
What a terrible interviewer though.

Bridget Nielson is a far worser interviewer than Vince Hill.

It's like jazz - if you've got to ask what it is, you'll never know!

Are you a bit simple? Or lonely or something? You keep asking `why is kennth connor funny` on every single clip about him.
Get a life man.
