Fallout 3 is good fun,, but S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is much more serious and scarier. And a lot of fun, if you like big hostile, living worlds. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. just has a much more realictic atmosphere, so despite both games have post-apocalyptic worlds, you should not compare them.

I think that GSC lacks creativity when it comes to thinking of plots and missions. There is no puzzle solving other than flipping a switch. just shooting bandits....then some more bandits...and some mutants thrown in the mix

have you ever heard of the term "repetitive gameplay"

I recommend Half Life 2 or Mass Effect if you want a great story line, developed characters, and varied gameplay

I've played half-life 2, I love it, however it's just a bit too linear. STALKER is now more preferable because I can choose my own destiny, per se. Clear sky is better with this.

Half-Life 2 might be the most over-rated game I've ever played. I've beaten it and it's two expansions. Run in a straight line, listen to people talk for 10 minutes, run in a straight line while shooting soldiers who take 10 headshots to die with a magnum, solve a ridiculously-thought-out puzzle, rinse and repeat.

Talk about repetitive and boring. Don't even get me started on the friggin' airboat scene from HL2... That went on for AGES.

really? apart from the gravity gun, its the most repetetive game since halo.

stalker is about the world youre in, and the creatures and people who live there. its about surviving in that world. its not about the story. the story is just there as a way to get you INTO that world, then its up to you.

ad CoP has way more varied missions, and youre not having to fight bandits every 50 yards, as there is pretty much a ceasefire going on and they leave you alone mostly

@Dulas9600 It's not, believe me. CoP runs better than SoC and CS: I'm ~20 hours in the game and never experienced bugs or glitches.

the only thing that sucks (ok 2 things) ^^ ... the short gameplay time (but who cares i playe more for my selfe^^ n get money n artefacts n kill some bandits....makes fun ^^)

if you chose to take a stalker to guid you to a place ..n he put you in the middle of "brutal" mutants !!!

ahh ..n third ...sometimes they dont STOP walking wen you try to SPEAK with them ^^

That's one of the most effective ways to kill a bloodsucker since Clear Sky. They will not take damage unless "uncloaked", and they usually de-cloak right in your face. xD

Knife pretty much one-shots them!

I don't want a single new weapon, Id rather have ALL the weapons redone to match their real life counterparts ; firing ports on the right side, correct reloading, properly named ammo/guns, realistic wear down. And not cocking the weapon every time you pull it out!

that is something exactly like in racing games. but if you really want that you gonna have to wait some year more before they get all licences and reskin all weapons.

there is much faster way... you can get a mod... I did that. was nice. nice sounds, skins, and real names... that should do it.

in good racing games U have real cars names like Ford, Mercedes, Ferrari.

in some cheap ones cars look pretty the same to the originals but doesnt have real names. differences in design are sometimes annoying.

yea but with stalker it's a mix up! the AK-74 is the AK-74, most weapons have real life names, but some are misnamed, like the RPG round
