"Where The Streets Have No Name" is the only song to have been played in full by the headlining acts of two consecutive Glastonbury Festivals as far as I can recall. I don' think any other song is more deserving of such an honor.
Muse is the way for modern music, when we grow up, we're gonna be able to show our kids muse like our parents show us the beatles/zeppelin or maybe even guns n roses today
lol. U2 aren't even that great. All their songs sound the same. You could take the lyrics from any song and put it with the music from another and it'd sound fine.
@WhereBeWaldoAt Are you retarted? U2 are renowned for their ability to completely change their style of music and still be successful. Have you ever listened to The Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby back to back? Yeah those are only 4 years apart. Listen to all the mainstream crap of the mid 80s and then listen to U2. They are unique deal with it.
I don't recall saying U2 weren't unique. I just said all their songs sound the same. Maybe I shouldn't have though because I've rarely listened to them.
Matt pulled it off better than Bono does. An honour for Muse to play with The Edge, an honour for The Edge to play with Muse. Matt's giggling like a schoolgirl that's how excited he is.
@DesiPattinson He didn't say "It's maybe a Jimi Hendrix experience". He said that Muse are the biggest power trio probably since The Jimi Hendrix Experience. That's the name of the band Jimi Hendrix played with.
without edge there wouldn't be U2, but then Edge would have started some other band, and with his guitar sound they would have been a very popular rock band!
This was so epic, David Lean tried to make a film about it, but realized that it was beyond his capabilities. Partially due to the incredible epicness. Also because he's dead.
btw anyone about to insult Edge. I never thought he was an amazing guitarist, but I realized the difficulty of what they're doing isn't nearly as important as the creativity and style behind it. Music is art. Don't forget that.
this is so good it should actually be illegal. I thought the earth imploded if this much talent was this close together....

Why do they put the drummer in the back when the stage is wide enough to fit him up front?
Hearing Muse cover U2 makes me want to listen to a Muse song.
