@DEIVION212 Aria of Sorrow is my favorite RPG Vania. Symphony of the Night is also excellent, but I didn't like Dawn of Sorrow. It was good for the most part, but I hated how you had to finish off a boss by drawing a shape on the touch screen. There were several times when a boss would almost kill me before I killed it, then I failed at drawing the shape on the screen because my hand was too shaky, and then the boss came back to life and killed me.
There's an easy fix though, use a potion when you think he's almost dead. As long as you're in good health, it auto draws, so I just used to use a potion at the right time XD
Because yeah, it is the prime example of adding something for the sake off. They worried that no one would touch a DS game with no touch screen support, now it's infamous for being a bad example of touch screen support.
I wasn't as much in love with IV. It was a little too easy with the whip being overpowered in comparison to the enemies, not to mention that the bigger sprite aspect made everything within easy reach. And there were too many stages for a single playthrough.
My favorite games in the series were 3 and Rondo of Blood. Multiple stage paths, characters, and more ideal difficulty, especially Rondo.
I only wish we got the Japanese version of CV3, which got the better music thanks to the special chip.
That's great, DEMON! This is kind of weird, but according to Nintendo Power, Dracula's Curse isn't available for VC, as it was on their top most wanted list. I personally think that Hard Corps and the nes remake of Contra should be on V.C., as they are both incredible games.
Best out of the NES bunch. Not sure it's the best in the series. Great review!

Love it, not the greatest Vania IMO. Vania IV is of this style and Dawn Of Sorrow is IMO the best RPG Vania.

DOS is, Aria is good but a bit overated IMO.
Portrait Of Ruin's not bad but too easy, and I got rid of my NDS before Ecclesia I think it is, came out.

Well that's why these are going back up, because I am :)
Recorded the 5 VC and Wii Ware games I had left today. Up when I'm done with the oldies :)

Yeah, I am so sick of waiting for Contra. It's out on the 360, so WTF?!
Don't think I ever played Corps. Name sounds familiar though. Google me thinks.

It's one of those titles with the same name. It's called Probotector just like the Game Boy and NES contras.
