I don't understand how F1 racers can go so fast on a track. How are they able to react? They must spend a considerable amount of time learning the track before driving it.

yes they do. Before they even sit in the machine, they will ride a scooter around the circuit, stopping at every corner, and point of interest, studying everything, finding points of references they can use as markers, for braking, turn-in and apex. After they finish practice sessions, the driver, partnered with his race engineer will study an endless stream of telemetary data, going over the printouts with a fine tooth comb. Drivers spend more time studying, than actual driving time.

anyone know how to add the wheels in? ive got a 2008 mod for gtr2 but whenever im using a cockpit view, the wheels are invisible.

You can find the option Wheels Visible In Cockpit=1″

in your Player.plr \GTR2\UserData

(you have to change the 0 to 1 and save before you exit! hope you got it

Hey, I have GTR 2, GTR Evolution and rFactor, and let me tell u some thing, rFactor is the FATHER of the F1 simulators.

Live for Speed sucks because every track and car are invented. The tracks doesnt exist.

Ya, but the physics are weird, the f1 2005 mod was the only one that felt ok but the ffb was crap every time I overdrove the car. Some people like content and little details, which is what rFactor does best, others like authentic driving feel like LFS and netkar pro. So no need to bash other sims, to me the father of all f1 sims just has to have good physics. I don't care if the track looks like it was made in one day :p

2005 mod??? I only know the CTDP 05and 06, but in 07 and we have MMG and F Sone and 08 RFT and RFN , you only have to choose one. Every one are excelent in every way, even the ffb (real feel). =)

Realfeel has all the aspects of real feedback and I agree that it's quite a step up from the original ffb. But It feels exaggerated in most cases and a bit detached at the limit. I like how it encourages the driver to use the same inputs as a real F1 car, but when you step over the limit the steering does not self align as it should. Try nkPro 1.03, the ffb is much nicer there if you set it up lower than default. Real feel will feel strange in comparison =)

Sounds good but too easy to do quick laps. I like the 2007 mod better. I did lots of laps around sepang and best was a low 1:35. Switched to 2008 mod and immediately was doing 1:32's.

I noticed the same thing. I changed the tyre grip level in the bridgestone.gdb file, and now my lap times are comparative to real life. How do I video my laps? I need to upload a quickie, it's so f***'n realistic.... Best mod ever..
