  • and to think retarted astronauts are on the moon as we speak

    (Moonbase Alpha)

  • when the box art is shown, look at the very top "State of the art high resolution" lol

then again, in 20 years we'll look back in the current systems and go "ugh, I can't BELIEVE they called that high definition"

  • DONT YOU DARE BUFFER OR EL-

    Thank you c:

  • no wonder space core wants to go to space lol

  • Really awesome remix mate! Mixes nostalgia and a soothing feeling in my head, making it easier for me to work. Thanks!

  • If i'm the owner of a nightclub, this music will be one of those epic tunes we're gonna hear and dance ^^

  • this song isnt long enough.... you should extend this!!! AWESOME REMIX!!!

  • If we ever colonize the moon, this should be playing in every docking station all day every day.

  • Yes. A thousand times yes.

  • Yes. I love it. "Welcome to the Moon. Please enjoy your stay!"

  • Ha ha, funny how the Moon song has attracted a lot of comments from the wolves of the world. Spirit animals unite!

  • LAUNCHPAD FOR PREZIDENT 2012

  • Capcom only makes shitty games now, along with their "No Fun Allowed" attitude. And Disney isn't very pleasant either, with their live-action shovelware Jonas Brotherhood mentality.

    Time travel up this bitch

  • this could quite easily be the next Eurovision winner's backing track

  • DOWNLOAD PLZ 320kps

  • The best part in at the begining. ^^

  • This remind me of the Ending theme from Chrono Trigger for some reason...

  • I thought this could use Luna dancing so i used your audio for a luna vid.

    i hope you dont mind

  • I love it :)

  • Remixes are cool and all, but nothing will beat the original music of the Moon stage.

It is just the awesome mix of NES music and "back then" insturments and what-not

    Let this song be long-lived.

  • the only comparation to cry like this is bohemian rhapsody

  • To be a cartoon based game, it was awesome!

after all... it was made by capcom =)

  • Your version is wonderful. It is almost surreal in this version, as if I'm hearing this song subconsciously. Great job, it's like no other cover!

  • why the hell wasn't this in the ending credits of Mario Galaxy?

  • I can't help imagining a montage of awesome things that happened in my life with ending credits.

  • Dancin' on the moon! WOO!!!

  • Well Done!

  • This should be the BG music for Kingdom Hearts DLC. You'll have to fight a hoard of enemies on the moon and if you complete it you get to summon Uncle Scrooge and he'll pelt coins at the enemies.

  • @Wolfspiritzero

    Quite imaginative there.

  • @Wolfspiritzero no he wont. he will rather steal coins or exp, cause hes too greedy

  • @kamikatze01 KH Scrooge was different. All he cared about in that game was Ice Cream. The normal Scrooge is all about the coin. But yeah maybe he could turn the enemies into more munny.

  • @Wolfspiritzero

    TAKE ALL MY MONEY

  • @Wolfspiritzero but wont uncle scrooge get upset if he looses money. but it still is a good idea.

  • @Wolfspiritzero Are you implying Scrooge would EVER throw away perfectly good money?

  • @Wolfspiritzero That is one impressive idea. I like it.

  • @Wolfspiritzero Or summon Launchpad and he crashed his aircraft on the enemy.

  • @Wolfspiritzero he what!??! NO!!! he would never do that to his dear moneys

  • I nostalgia'd.

  • My penis grew 6 inches, my IQ doubled and I won the lottery upon hearing this.

Or at least I felt like all of those things happened.

    FEELS GOOD MAN.

  • @wohdinhel

I'm glad your quality of life improved from this video. :)

  • Souns like Mario Galaxy Instrumental... That Beautiful

  • for download the music, go on video2mp3

  • ...just.....speechless...words aren't worthy to describe this song....

  • LETS HAVE A GENTLE RAEVE ON THE MOON!!1one won won won....

  • *tear*

  • no donwload? :(

  • @Zeroeq Check on Overclocked remix to download this ;)

  • funny, sounds awfully similar to the OC Remix, Duck Blur..

  • @TheRKO1984

Nevermind, i noticed after the fact you did give credit to OC Remix and Star Salzman :)

  • going into my favorites

  • this is awesome and you should feel awesome

  • 3:29-3:56 sounds strangely familiar to the rocket theme from Drawn to life. XD

  • oh the nostalgia

  • DUCKS! Yes, ducks in outer space! From the Disney Afternooooooooon! On the moooooooooon!

  • one word EIPC

  • "I am Scrooge McDuck. And I can breathe in SPACE."

  • @xXSniper989Xx And so can Sonic, and Mario doesn't need air at all. What is with video game characters and their uncanny breathing abilities?

  • I'll cry

  • This song should be used in a video celebrating the history of video games

  • LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I just made a remix of my own of this tune (check my channel). Thanks for reminding me of this classic!

  • omg nice

  • ALL HAIL TED DANSON

  • @WanderingPaladin

    To that I say "Cheers!"

    Pun intended

  • @dynamicwolf

One small step for duck, one giant leap for duckind.

  • is there a downloadable version of this?

  • This is amazing! Thank you for sharing this with us!

  • @N8C8

    Indeed, you're welcome.

  • Somewhere in the world...Chuck Norris is crying

  • @supamonkey120 manly tears

  • @rockleerocks1122

Manly tears that can cure cancer.

  • OMG! I played that game when I was like 5 or 6 years old for the first time! This theme was my favorite in the whole Duck Tales series! I kept playing this level to just listen this music! Whoever created this remix version, MY SINCERE THANK YOU!

    Good memories............

  • Gives me chills.

  • were i can download this?

  • One of the best NES games, and the original moon theme is imy personal favorite NES song of all time.

    OF ALL TIME.

And this remix is beautiful, I think it really captures the spirit of the song, the adventure and wonder it conveyed. Often remixes and up dates of 8-bit songs lose something in the transition to real instruments and modern techniques but this one hit the nail on the head.

  • I need to get my NES from my cousins.

And play this level right now.

  • I agree with ryanbarrett80. If Barks would have not created Scrooge, we would probably never hear this theme anywhere :d

  • i remember when i was just a little kid

i got a very good grade on my report card.

ive showed it to my mother and she was really damn proud at me

and she said wanna go to toys r us????

    and i was little yeahhh!!

she took me there and i said i wanted a video game

    it was called Ducktales

and then i got it good timees... :)

  • @KenniCrazy

Well, that was very good reward for all that work, indeed! ;)

  • How did you do that. It`s awesome remix and it`s my favourite melody! ( I have it on my phone )

  • Its funny because you can kinda make out a duck in the picture of the moon :D

  • memerios.. ^__^

  • Very epic for a game based on a show!

  • I remember how was everything to me 20 years ago...i was so happy with my toys and also my mom bought me two disney-capcom videogames...this and chip and dale. I feel the same thing on this. I can´t describe really...i would get excited to see another ducktales videogames to hunt new treasures and why not? back finally to the moon. Thank you Capcom for your wonderful games and thank you Disney for those wonderful characters and stories. Blesses!

  • @sosano69

Thanks for sharing the good memories. :)

  • @sosano69 Sometimes I missed my childhood too, when I was happy renting NES games at the local Blockbuster, telling my parents when I finished the game they rented to me...(sigh). Yeah, sweet childhood.

  • @sosano69 yeah, some gamers today think it's all about graphics and gameplay and think that every other game exept COD sucks, but our childhood games go way deeper than that, they bring memories of when all our ambitions were based on the time spent with our friends, and one of the best way to spend it was on videogames. Old school games bring back unforgettable experiences of our childhood which will stay deep in our hearts. THANK YOU SEGA AND NINTENDO!!!!!

  • @sosano69 Disney has changed... I remember Duck Tales and Mickey Mouse, but now Disney shoves the Jonas Bothers and Bieber up our throughts.

  • Dude! So elegant yet so wicked awesome! =D

  • hocking, thats all i got, just pure shocking

  • :'D

  • im floating....

  • download???????

  • if in the near future i float in space with my hazard suit thingy on me ill listen to this while watching earth

  • This is.....AWSOME!

    Love it :)

  • Beautiful. Gives a gorgeous sounding vibe to this game.

  • Fantastic Remix

  • The best remix of this song I've heard thus far... nice work.

  • I like the "Sweet Memories of Earth" remix of the Moon more than this, but that's because i'm more into rock/metal compositions. This one is very relaxing.

  • This might be one of the best remix I've ever heard.

    5 stars :D

  • To think... it all started with the vision of Carl Barks...

  • @ryanbarrett80

One of the most insightful comments Ive seen yet on this video. Kudos sir!

  • @ryanbarrett80 People seem to forget him... stupid assholes carl barks ftw

  • @ryanbarrett80 One question... who's Carl Barks because I don't know about him. Can you tell me?

  • @ryanbarrett80 Great point...Where would we be without creative artists such as he who channel their energies into timeless forms of expression for others to interact with and be inspired by? We would be one bored(and boring) species.

  • Yeah! One of the better moon remixes out there. Check out my remixes too. I will make one of this theme too eventually.

  • This would be PERFECT for Rainbow Road!

  • This song is awesome...

I wonder if Nintendo could release this on Virtual Console...

  • beautiful....U_U i love this song i wanna go back....

  • Wow thats a very nice remix!

Dynamicwolf, i once PMed you to check out my Megaman Remixes, now I've made a Duck Tales moon remix myself, and i would like you to check it out!:)

  • OK... this is something I thought I'd NEVER see 0___o

  • Stop with the memes, they aren't funny.

  • 2 words: H-O-L-L-Y...S-H-I-T

  • i think you mean holy shit

  • Lovely work. 5 stars on this one.

  • its by far the most awesome remix i've heard, better than the SD Remix and the Year 200X one!

  • Yes... its over 9000!!!!

  • I can see that rabbit

  • Comment removed

  • So touching....

  • It's perfect. So beautiful.

  • wow, this is really good!

I mean really good, you really nailed parts like 4:06, that's just awesome! I think that's what Capcom would've done if they had the bits. You made it really meaningful with interludes like that. 5 stars, well deserved!

  • best remix of this song ive heard good job

  • There are a few delays that keep this remix from being perfect.

  • its so beautiful.... love this mix!

u know they had so little to work with in the past and they created such simple wonderful music and today we cant even get 1/3 of this sort of melodies in games

  • What if this was used by Nintendo as a part of a Rainbow Road? I mean, they would have to get permission from Capcom, but still, it could be awesome to have a remix in it.

  • Just one word can describe this song, amazing!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Hearing this gives me that warm fuzzy feeling, you know what I mean?

  • the nostolgia.

  • i don't know why, but i fell like im at home with my parents watching movies or something... just makes me feel so safe and cozy!

  • Goodness, this is beautiful!

You really nailed that weightless, mysterious, but exciting and adventurous feel that captures that Moon landscape to sound.

It is also amazing how you almost re-wrote the entire structure of the song, yet it is still clearly the theme we all remember; different and familiar all at once.

    Great work! : )

  • @JollySynthetic This guy didn't make it. Say that to Star Salzman. Epic remix indeed :)

  • @JollySynthetic to see other songs like it you can check out ocremix it's a marvelous site. It has Thousands of fan-made video game remixes. I strongly recommend checking them out!

  • I need to listen to this mix every single day, and i can't get enough. It's simply fantastic.

  • wow, this is good

  • This is EPIC ! Wonderful, I remember all this time passed on Duck Tales.

    Thank you for this video.

  • Thank you for the kind words. You are welcome.

  • *looks at comments*

So why are we arguing about this on a video of a remix of a song from a video game?

  • Lol, if I knew that this was gonna blow up like it did, I would've never posted!

Anyways, this is better than those "stupid" guitar covers. Most of them are videos of some kid with a guitar playing to a midi file, just playing the melody with no innovation. What I like about this song is that it tries different things, and experiments a bit. It's not an exact replica with an added solo section.

Plus, it has this atmosphere that you're on the moon.

This is the best remix on Youtube. Fact.

  • (Shakes head) Ok, I have watched several of you bicker, debate, and insult each other over the course of a week. Some comments even are amusing I might add. The point is this is an NES remix for a well liked video game from decades ago. Not a Jerry Springer try out session. Thanks for playing and enjoy the music. DW

  • How about we end this debate by stating that Power Rangers rule. End of story.

  • i miss the awesome games of the nes :(

  • Thia remix is awesome, it actually makes me feel like I'm on the moon, unlike the stupid guitar covers.

  • Hello JokinJoe,

as a representative of, I quote, "the stupid guitar covers", I would like you to know that we appreciate your very constructive criticism. We hope to see you posting some more bullshi- err, I mean constructive criticism in the near future.

  • Hello Blooro,

as a representative of common sense on the Internet, I would like to tell you that your tastes are not superior to the others' tastes.

Differences in opinion are something that will always exist, and you can not impose your tastes over someone else's tastes, for they are yours and yours only.

Your preferences does not stand for the truth, neither do mine, and you have to respect each and every kind of opinion as long as it is reasonable and respectful toward yours.

  • Well, the fact that he posted without being respectful toward the guitar covers was bullshit. It was unreasonable and disrespectful, so I made fun of him. Big deal, considering half the people on YouTube would've flamed him way more violently.

  • I'm not trying to look high and mighty. What I'm trying to do is to be kinda neutral (while still poking fun at stupid things like what he said) and comprehensible.

Anyone can say that they prefer this or that cover, but saying that a entire kind of cover is stupid is bullshit. Yup, you can say "I don't like the guitar covers !", just like I can say that I love'em. Fact : saying that they are stupid is retarded.

  • For some inexplicable reason, the word "cover" seems to be pejorative for you, while the word "song" seems to lean "serious business". Well, maybe opening a dictionary would help you in that case : a cover IS a song, may they be of "good" quality or not.

  • Also, being disrespectful isn't a really interesting challenge, unless you're still 12 years old (and you are not). Maybe you should try to accept that people may have differences in opinions with you, while not being wrong.

  • The funny part here is that, reading this entire 'argument' at a glance, Bloo, you have yet to make a single actual argument in favor of your stance - just unsupported attacks on the other side. Ad hominem is not a proof, it's a fallacy.

Support your point or stop pretending to have one.

  • 'The sky is blue' is an objective fact. It can be verified by walking outside and looking straight up.

You are trying to assert 'covers of music are bad' as an objective fact when it is a subjective opinion. The burden of proof is on you to show that what you assert is true. 'views and ratings' are not evidence.

For my part, I wholly disagree with your stance, and I cite Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. They're a cover-only punk band, and their music is still top-notch and fun to listen to.

  • And I stand by my statement that 'views, favs and ratings' are not evidence that cover music is bad. Correlation does not imply causation -- more people fav/view the original simply because it is more well-exposed. That doesn't make it "better", just more well-known.

Your first statement is also a factual inaccuracy and a poor dodge. Regardless how we both "see" the sky, we are both seeing the same thing - light at a certain frequency, which our brain interprets as what we call "blue".

  • This isn't a philosophical debate. If you were trying to debate personal preferences, that would be another story.

But you were trying to assert personal opinion as objective fact, which puts this squarely in the realm of logical debate, where statements like "blue to me may not be blue to you" are pointless. Blue is a wavelength of light. How we see it is irrelevant.

And now you're trying to back out of your assertion and label mine as opinion. At least have the grace to admit your mistake.
