For the quantity of sugar and water, just follow the proportions written on the site for 1 liter.
I use the simple alcohol 95°sold in common markets here in Italy. I don't know why it isn't opaque...usually the opaque ones are done with milk and are called Limoncello cream.
Could you please recommend approximately HOW MUCH sugar AND water to mix, if I used a 1.75 liter bottle of grain alcohol for "fermenting" orange peels?? Thank you!
Mille Grazie! "Perfetto presentazione!" I'm trying to make "Aranciello" for the first time because God has blessed me with an Orange tree here in Savannah, Georgia ( Southern part of state, close to Florida. It does get cold here, but I suppose one can call it "subtropical"). I enjoyed excellent homemade "Limoncello" when I accompanied my husband to Montepulciano & other wonderful places in Italy, when he taught history to US students in Italy. Truly "La Dolce Vita"! Can you recommend how muc
I use the alcohol sold in the common markets used to prepare liquors.
No vodka, no acuqvite, no cachaça. Just pure alcohol.

What type of alcohol are you using? Also, why doesn't your alcohol turn opaque the way other limoncellos look when bottled; like orange juice.
