@alramone1 Fair enough if you're not a fan and they only really sold this incredible song at a few points. Saying that these guys sound just like Radiohead is like saying Kanye sounds just like Timbaland. I take the point that rock is fairly backwards looking at the moment but it's beginning to settle down, rediscover confidence and find its creative feet within that history referencing frame. I don't think you could find a better example than grizzly bear for the truly New out of Old. Very de
There are too many bands (like this one, apparently) that are more or less copying Radiohead's sound. This band is OK, and I like Radiohead, but personally, if I'm gonna listen to something mainstream, I'd rather listen to Kanye West or some other hip hop. White mainstream rock just isn't as innovative as black music these days. (I'm making this post because my last one was deleted cuz of "too many negative comments," which i think is crazy.)
@alramone1 Nothing like Radiohead sorry... I don't label music by white mainstream etc. I'm a fkn moroccan in Holland I don't care who listens to what. Also hiphop of these days is almost all the same always the same subject and doesn't have the passion I like to see. (there are some with the passion but not enough).
Yeah, give me auto-tune and the destruction of what used to be REAL rap and R&B any day over this. What an idiot. Kanye West is not an innovator. hahaha. Fucking just had a brain rupture.
@waldezy I typically share that sentiment, but all music is comparable. It's the only way some people, I fear, know how to relate. I usually relate music more so to feelings that are indescribable. I've always felt music had that power. Sure, you could make a word to describe how you feel, but I've always been able to understand it more through song.
compare all you want
this is ok it's not exactly innovative or rocket science...just a bunch of effects on everything...still well done at least.

@drcroc2 Yeah so many effects! only lame bands use...uh...reverb?
mrsaganscosmos 1 month ago
I find this comment funny, because every artist uses some form of some effect. In fact, re-verb is utilized by pretty much everyone, even subtly.

Does anyone know who the lady is? I want to think it's the girl from Beach House, because they tour together sometimes...

@LucidDream yes sir, that indeed is Victoria Legrand from Beach House.

@alramone1 This band sounds like a modern Beach Boys not Radiohead, get your music history right.
Toobsock88 3 months ago
@Toobsock88 Grizzly Bear are very different to the Beach Boys. Just because they both use vocal harmony doesn't make them similar.
