This was one of the first N64 games I played and thus one of my first real 3D games, alongside Mario 64. So many great memories playing this at my friend's house.

Anyway... I've never played this game... mostly because we had a nintendo 64 but we didn't have this game sadly. Now that nintendo 64 kinda is broken so we can't use it. The closest to mario kart I've played is for the GBA, Gamecube, DS and I've orderd the wii one a week ago so it should come soon. @AwsmeKid123 People were playing video games. Back then, gameplay was a major factor rather than graphics. Nowadays, if a game doesn't have flashy, coloful graphics, then it is automatically considered a horrible game and not worth anyones' time to play, which is a cruel and sad fact cuz graphics don't always make any game great.

I love this game!! This was my first Mario game ever! Brings back a lot of memories. Especially that the Rainbow Road in this game has my favorite music of all the Rainbow Roads. (Yet being the easiest Rainbow Road in the series)

Remember you can shoot koopa shells backward by holding down on the control stick before firing. And, I think you can save yourself from sliding on peels just by moving the control stick left and right a few times right after you drive over one.
