He was criminally charged with that too, but in the trial, mysteriously his co-defendant, who had cooperated with prosecutors in hope of a lesser sentence, refused to testify at the last minute. Hmm. So the co-defendant went off to jail to do his & Alcee's time, too. But at least he had that extra cash waiting for him when he got out! And Alcee moved ip to the crook major leagues - Congress!
