  • Who's singing here? Hey, sounds very good.

  • You did a beautiful job with a beautiful song. Jesse is one of the greats.

  • Thanks! Great song.

  • Dear Lina, I came to see you today. You have been on my mind, friend.

Thought I might find you here, with Jesse. If you have a minute, please let me know you are alright. I miss you here. Your friend, NAncy

  • I did know he was a draft dodger, Bless Him is right... He chose to stay....

  • yeah me too but i dont miss those montreal winters! dam it was cold. jesse was only there because he was a draft dodger, he was a pacifist God bless him!

  • Sellasgarden thanks for the upload! I personally can not get enough of Jesse, a way with words, oh my yes, that will be Mr. Winchester's legacy! And yes this is just so damofino pretty! It almost makes the inevitable prospect of Winter bearable, again, PLEASE Hold Back The Winter Indian Summer!

  • I love this song and your photos. I lived in Montreal in my youth and remember Jesse Winchester singing in coffee houses. Really takes me back.

    SLM

  • Thanks for dropping by...I agree, very nice tune... one of my favorites...Takes me back also...

  • Up until now I had only heard the Anne Murray version which is equally haunting. I lived in Montreal for about 20 years so I know that wintery feeling. But no Montrealer would ever say Mont-real but Munt-real. Cheers.

  • I have never heard Anne's version... I have only heard Jesse Winchester's ... Writer of this beautiful song... Thanks for stopping by...

  • Jesse Winchester lived in Canada for a number of years... I believe up until President Ford declared an amnesty for those that had decided to pass on a certain military engagement in Asia. I guess that is how he ended up writing this beautiful song about wintery Montreal.

  • Thank you Stella...absolutely beautiful.

  • So sorry I missed this... Thank you so much for dropping by...

  • Lovely movie, we don't get snow like that where I live. In fact we don't get much snow at all now. I love the quiet and peace that snow brings. I miss that.

  • Winter is my favorite season for camera work and you have done an absolutely beautiful work of art here. Baskets of stars....

  • Thank you so much, you have made me blush... My play ground gives me such a grand pallet to work with... Just shoot what strikes my eye...

  • I am cold, about to cry, this is so sad,but it has pretty pictures, and he is in a good mood..this is different..I like things that make you feel...........love,jo

  • Hugs Jo... Jesse can do that Jo, put people in a mood... He is so good...

  • This is a lovely video- fabulous images to compliment the song. Wish we got snow in England !

  • Thanks Tilly, snow is indeed beautiful... but cold...

  • what a wonderful video /song! i love these types of photos of snow and frost and animals and what a beautiful song to go with it!! very beautiful!! lvoe the feeling this gave me!!! just peaceful!!

  • Thank you for stopping by...and for the nice comment...

  • this is nice... thanks

  • Ah....winter time, thats my favorite time of the year....I can imagine walking outside in all that snow, how quiet it would be...hearing the crunch of the snow as you walk....feeling the coolness on your skin....ah..yesss.

Great video. You live in a beautiful part of our country, enjoy it....I would if I were there.

  • Hi Lina! I'll fix that! I'll add another comment right now! And oh, I'm so glad you had that little accident, because I got to come by and hear this glorious song and watch your beautiful video again. Jesse is amazing, isn't he?

    ~Nancy

  • Thanks Nancy, you didn't have to do that... but thanks just the same... hope I don't do it again... Lina

  • never heard the song before. to be honest, i only knew one jesse winchester song, the brand new tennesse waltz, and that one via everly brothers version.

jesse really can put on a mood and atmosphere in his songs. (is that sound english?) you know i'm from holland

    peter

  • Jesse can truly put a mood on a person... don't worry about the English... better than mine...

  • great, great song! and fine pictures! compliments from netherlands, from peterlisten

  • Thank you so much for the nice comments...Thank you also for taking the time to view this video/side show...

  • So nice--watched this before and am doing so to cool off on a hot day. I saw Jesse in Newport RI right after Carter's amnesty when Jesse came back from Canada. And I saw him a few Octobers ago in Golden Gate park--he's still got it in spades.

  • Thanks so much for visiting... Jesse has always been my favorite artist, though he does not do my favorite tune... how strange is that... again, thank you so much

  • I think you did a really nice job of combining images and Jesse's song.
