belatedly - I've both a Roco and a Trix model too. I like them both equally, but the Trix model is a bit more substantial, having metal valve motion. Mine runs extremely well, particularly considering that its previous owner was a six year old who lost all the smaller fittings, which I had to replace. The Roco model is just a little delicate - I had to repair the expansion link on one side after the return crank broke. Nice products, both of them.
What you wrote is true about the Roco and the Trix one, it is the same with the V60 and V200 as well. It is that the Trix V60 has a digital coupler and light on both sides, in use when switching according to german regulation, but when it rides the Roco one is much smoother. The Trix V60 is strong as a horse though, kind regards
The sound of the "chuff" must have the double speed and it would be nice, when the decoder supports the force balance. So the movings are much smother.
