@cheezecaakes use Crisco instead of butter. when you put the raw dough on the cookie sheet, make the "dough balls" fairly tall and thin (about 1.5" in diameter and 2-3 inches tall. helps to make them thick and soft)undercook a bit (about 10 minutes near sea level).
it took me 4 times to find the right recipe and i found this one and every one loves them im at least making them twice every 3 weeks for friends and family........hands down and two thumbs up the best recipe yet
