For everyone: you need a jailbreak to access files like this. If you have an iPhone 4S - you can't. If you have an iPad 2 - u need 4.3.3.

Ifile is a jailbroken app and also after patch 4.3.3 if you try and restore your ipad using itunes apple now block your ipad :) so dont do it if you dont wanna have to go into apple and be like my ipad has stopped working and then they will be like yeah as you tried to jailbreak it m8 and then you lose your ipad as its broken

@alexjames94 YES YOU CAN, THE IPAD WORKS JUST LIKE THE PHONE.. Get ifile app for ipad you can transfer mp3 files to the media directory and use ifile to play them, but you cannot see them in your ipod collection. You can also email yourself mp3 files and save them to your ipad in the same directory. However, I've only done this on jailbroken IOS devices

Thanks for this video! Also I noticed that iFileis NOT fullscreen. To fix this: Go into Cydia Search and download "FullForce" (Drill Icon) Then respring (automatic) Go to Settings and then go to FullForce under "Extensions" Turn it on for iFile. (You may need to respring, maybe not) Now you have a fullscreen version of iFile for iPad!

Yes you can play movies if it is the right format and there are too many programs that convert any video file to an Ipad format besides you can stream ur movies to ur Ipad

Yes you can copy files to the USB drive via Ifile

It lets u copy, cut and past between the IPAD and the USB and also u can copy files between the IPAD and the Iphone via Bluetooth.

The IPAD does not have enough power to work with an external HD and to answer the rest of ur question most of files can be read an copied including mp3 mpeg and you can send the to iphone by bluetoof thru ifile

Besides Flash drive is more Handy than a portable drive

No you cant play raw Avi's but u can convert them thru Itunes or other free software
