I do not mean to offend you, but I did try the one meal a day thing, anyway I found a better way to loose weight if that is your goal with eating as much as you want, raw vegan if you want, and you will gain as much energy as you want and at the same time, preserve your health and vitality. =) I have lost 15 kilos all naturally with no supplements.   • this is unhealthy, i eat 6 meals a day 4,000 calories a day and i am still 20 lbs underweight. ive only gained 5 lbs in 2 months

  • i started doing this about 9 days ago. and it's great! i've lost half a stone already, i've slimmed down noticeably, my stamina's increased, i have so far developed control over not just eating but my life and i get full easier. a portion of chips actually filled me up! that wouldn't have happened last month. i don't plan on carrying this on for a long time though just to be safe

  • ive been eating only 1 meal a day for 2 weeks and i feel great. i also cut out red meat...i had done this befor the diet. and honestly im not hungry durring the day. i started the 1 meal a day with out trying. i feel less bloated durring the day and i actually feel healthy. i eat at 6pm everyday and try to make it atleast 500-800 as long as my fat grams are down its good. my skin looks better too. i make sure i drink enough water but i have more energy now than i did eating 3 times a day.

  • this is good..i have always done this...yeah sometimes i may eat twice..But it is good to feel hungry..it it burns the fat your body has stored..don't believe the lie's that being hungry will cause your body to store fat..it can't your body will take from it's stored fuel and use it when needed..Causing you to slim down..Peace

  • I'm starting to wonder how smart of a culture we think we are, when most of our dietitions recommend 5-6 meals a day, and laugh at people who take the Warrior Diet approach. I'm seriously starting to think there is a conspiracy at play, or maybe our so called experts aren't as smart as we think they are.

  • I started eating 1 meal a day yesterday and all vegetarian/raw I think the first few days is the hardest, for people that are looking at it negatively, most doctors will tell you that its not necessary for most people to eat 3x a day especially as lazy as we are now days.

  • @39dominic : Really? Eating one meal per day will make you fat? That's odd because our hunter/gatherer ancestors and modern H/G tribes, who don't experience obesity, typically eat one large meal per day, usually late in the day with some possible snacking during the day.

  • yep, you need to eat often or your body will go into starvation mode and store fat to keep you alive. you WILL get bigger

  • @muzicluva000 this is not true. the body only stores fat when there is enough caloric surplus to store energy. if there is none, then it will use all it can. your body will adapt to the amount of food you give it, that being storing extra energy as glycogen, as fat, etc., and that being using it as it deems necessary. anyway, what we've learned from all these decades of different diets is that there is no one perfect diet and different people will need to adopt a different diet and lifestyle.

  • Is this for ppl with eating dis-orders cos I swear to god it's unhealthy to do this cos your body goes into starvation mode if you stop eating and that pain that you feel is your body tellin you its going into starvation mode.     Avocados are essential to life! I find it difficult to eat nuts personally, i feel like heavy emotions and dullness are associated with them. So i will be drinking a hemp/rice/pea protein mixture in either hemp milk or soymilk, supplying about 30g of protein in addition to my daily meal. I will be vegan but not fully raw!

  • Why would you want eating one meal a day to end. It is a fantastic way to live. It makes cooking, planning, shopping, everything connected to food easier.

    Everybody should weigh themselves everyday. It makes no sense to weigh once a week or more. That person has no clue that they may have weighed more or less the day before or after they weighed.

    I have learned that even gas from bad food combining creates a pang exactly like hunger.

    I am 5ft 6, weigh 133.
