hey! could you explain how you did the negatives from the printer? i know its a matter of scanning the original negative and then printing on transparency paper, but i just wanna know the exact details so i do it correctly. thanks!
this is awesome! I'm a fashion designer and I would like to try it on fabrics, but I need your consideration first. Can this techniue be applied in fabrics?
Extra tip: if your prints are coming out with too much contrast using just water, try a 1:1 mix of vinegar + water. This will bring out more tonal range than water alone.
love this video! what kind of watercolour paper did you use? arches? i'm going toi start cyanotype soon but will use sun to expose the paper.. how many minutes do you usually expose your paper? thanks a lot!
That was excellent! I so want to have a go at this, can you tell me what the chemicals are in bottles A & B! I live in OZ so I can't really use your supplier! LOL!
you can get them from most old fashioned photography stores that sell darkroom chemicals. sometimes they are premixed, sometimes you have to add water. ether way it's pretty easy.
Awwh thank you! :) Yes now I have to find a photography shop that hasn't closed down! :( The local ones don't sell it and most of the non digital shops have closed! Will keep looking!

Awesome! I just ordered some film for my box camera, I have to try this process.
It would also be interesting to experiment with some digital art, the possibilities are endless!

Thanks aperturius! I'll have to try that. I always use hydrogen peroxide, but am curious to see how vinegar works

What paper do you use?
JakeOConnell 2 years ago
I like many papers, but watercolor papers work very well

@JakeOConnell
Resume paper also works very well because of its fibrous nature, but it's more expensive and you need to look out for the watermark.

maffygold 2 years ago
Thanks, The negative was made using a inkjet printer, although I do use some vintage 8x10 in camera negatives.
