  • Hi Kino, I have arthritis in my knees which makes it impossible to bend my knee fully. So lotus and half-lotus are always going to be out of my reach, along with all the poses which use those. Any pose which requires a fully bent knee is impossible. Should I just keep doing very basic modifications? I'd love some advice about doing ashtanga when you have injuries which prevent you from doing many of the poses.

  • @forest88807 If you have arthritis and cannot bend your knee then I would recommend you do this posture twice, once with the best half lotus you can and the second with the modification where you simplify by just bending the knee instead of taking half lotus. And of course, remember to check in with your daily teacher!
