My older brother watched the documentary on the sinking of the Oriskany. He served on this ship from 1964 till 1968. I actually got to tour this ship but I was just a kid at the time. Almost everything but the superstructure was removed before the sinking including all fluids. Many hatches were removed or welded shut to prevent divers from becoming lost or stuck. History channel still run the story from time to time.

They scuttled it to create an artificial reef, all the recyclable parts would of been stripped out before hand so thats all your fuel tanks, engines, life support and anything else that was deemed valuable. The clouds you saw coming of the ship at the start of the video would of been clouds of rust being blasted of the hull which would which indicates the hull itself would be relatively useless for salvage as removing rust is an expensive and slow process.
