Not to troll or anything... but I'm stationed here in Hawaii....and people were going out there the whole time it was aground and taking pictures and laughing at it... It's was right by the busiest runway of the airport so people who were landing could see it very clearly when they landed.
@deltadude61 I am sure the skipper of this vessel will never have another command. That is obvious. My question is, will he be forced out of the Navy, given a desk job, perhaps time in jail? Danke.

bad thing is I know the nav she was on our ship before this.

The CO's career is over. Punitive Articles of the UCMJ, Article 110—Improper hazarding of vessel.
The ship is CASREP! Certainly, the navigator is derelict , taken the ship off course, but it was the dereliction that had significant impact.
