I heard he was thinking about it, but then decided not to because it would be way too hard. He's been gone from the sport for sooo long. I'd rather him come back than Evgeny anyday :(
Aww, bless him. The guy had such great personality. And I don't think I've ever seen another skater who had such control over the ice as Alexei. He makes such difficulty seem effortless. I will miss watching him in eligible competition more than any skater I've ever seen, even Michelle Kwan. And major points for using techno music. I could almost cry thinking about what could have been had he continued to skate in eligible competition.
Amazing just as his other performances, and what I noticed more is that he has an incredible sense in music. He interprets and performs so well right on the rhythm and catches the emotions and passions of the music. I don't think there was any skater with such perfect talents: looks, techniques, artistic expressions, acting, passion, guts, strong spirit yet gentle heart, and sincereness to his fans. A pure genius and a legend...
He is definitely, in my mind, one of, if not the greatest skater of all-time so far. I was fairly young around his time so I didn't appreciate his skating as I do now. I really miss him skating :(
He was nothing short of AMAZING. Competitive figure skating has never been the same since his retirement. The Yagudin/Plushenko rivalry was legendary!
Thanks for sharing this - I just want to point out to you that the name of the track has been wrongly identified - it is actually called Played Alive, not Crazy Benny.
So agree with you, on Alexei and Evgenyi... Joubert however is very far from them both :) I like Lambiel, his spins, the footwork... he's jumps are OK when he can pull it together :)
well actually both of them ALWAYS had different styles! Plushenko was always about spins, jumps and flexibility, Yagudin was always about the footwork.

Does he seem to thin here or is ti me?Or nowasays he has woked out his upper body more and seeems bigger to me?

Idiot. Just HAD to push it. :P This footwork is epic. You definitely don't see that AT ALL today.

It's too bad his injury prevented him from competing that year. This SP had the potential to outdo even his own 'winter'.

Yagudin is the best skater that has ever lived. Plushenko is nothing next to him.
Figure skating is lost without Alexei.
I can't even bear to watch men's skating anymore...the only one is joubert..and he was trained by Yagudin...AND...hes a poor imitation.
YAGUDIN FOREVER.
By the way....plushenko is now dressing up as a baby and dancing to britney spears. If you don't believe me take a look at this:
