Are there a lot of different between Hindi and Nepli? I noticed Nepali sounds different from Hindi but some words are the same as in Hindi such water=paani, hello=namaste, etc. Just curious .. :-)

To all who are intrested to know what this song is all about> this song is called a TEEJ song, teej is a hindu festival that's only celebreated by female hindus, you dont hear often a male singing teej singing , unlike this one, teej songs r only sang during teej, its like christmas songs, this particular song is about a family whos son works over seas, mother is pissed of with his wife and is complaining about her, dad and son are trying to make thing work for all of them.

I wish I hadn't been so critical. There's so much that's good with this video and music I'm ashamed to complain about one little detail of it. Maybe I just need to get "acclimatised" to it.

The only thing that puts me off this music is the singing is a bit too screechy. It's like if you had to listen to the Bee Gees all day.After the first one it gets too much.I prefer the religious music without any singing. Or there should be more music and less singing in my opinion.

thanks for ur interest over nepali songs......it is really a true family story that still exists in the remote villages in nepal....sons are supposed to support the whole family and for this reason they had to go foreign country to earn money.....and their parents miss them a lot ....and remember them a lot in great festivals as shown in videos

The song is good but when I listened all to all words for this song I got some thing mistake,,, the people they must have to see or think "O mother, my land of birth! Heaven is not more glories!" this words.... If parents don't have good behaviour then children must suggest them like as a good children.. and they don't have any authority to fight with them. YES! Nepali folk music is great! it's about all this hardship but they sing it in such a silly way with all this light-hearted music behind it. it's as though they've accepted their lives and are trying to the best they can with it. and it's SO long.
