  • I recorded with the Classics on a few songs...I just can't pick out the lead vocal? I know it's not Emil Stucchio...My second guess would be either: John Gombalie or my cuz Tony Victor ?

  • Look at the record label from 0:08 to 0:14. The name Rodgers is spelled wrong.

  • Sorry Sprite, Blue Moon is older that, another woman sang it first. This is a bold brass record. Raise my right, promise to swear, and tell the truth I first heard Sha Na Na sing this song, before discovering the Marcels on a local oldies station when I was 13. Our local drunk, and the oldest teenager in our community could sing this song acapella like a champ. That was their time they claimed. This is my first time hearing this song, holy spit batman, holy sin batgirl. Keep em rollin.

  • @riunitewine Sorry Skippy, I never said the Marcels were the FIRST to record it - just that I like that version best. It was first recorded on January 15, 1935, Connee Boswell for Brunswick Records. Prior to that it had been used in several movies but with different titles and lyrics. It was written by Rogers and Hart.

  • The Classics - Blue Moon ♪♫ is a 5/5 ★s

  • I still prefer the Marcels version but this one is good too. It's nice to be able to compare them.
