yea, not only white people can be white. alot of asian people are naturally pale. i recently went to the beach twice this month and got a little bit darker, but i'm asian and i'm naturally really pale. even though i am 1/4 white, i have asian skin tone with asian undertones. and pale skin is consider beautiful in other countries because dark skin was considered "poor" or "dirty" or you work hard while pale is like you live in luxury and stay indoors. but in my opinion, i think all skin tones are

Anyways I see no big deal with bleaching creams. There are lots of people who use it to lighten dark spots, such as scars (universally, spots are ugly no matter what). A person who was born with light skin is tired of having light skin, so s/he goes to get a tan. Same goes for people born with dark skin. I think the people who criticize those who want to lighten their skin are being a bit ethnocentric.

Pale skin is seen as beautiful, youthful, and pure in Asia. Just like how long hair is seen as beautiful for a woman in India which is why women there have long hair.

People in Asia don't want to look European. They're fitting into the Asian concept of beauty. Just as how Americans try to fit into the American concept of beauty: big breasts.
