I feel so sorry for those spreading misinformation about Marian devotion. It's biblical actually: "For behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed." Mary is blessed because she is the first disciple of Christ and stood at the foot of the cross. You don't fathom what the church really teaches about Mary, nor do you seem to be really interested in learning. Mary can only lead us to Jesus. I love Mary and I am closer to Jesus and love Him more because of her, not in spite of her.
PRAYING TO MARY IS IDOLIZING! I promise you she would NOT want you to pray to her. YOu know you can pray to Jesus all by yourself without help from her. She cannot hear you she is dead. The Lord, however, is Alive and is Omniscient and Omnipresent!!

The Catholic church formulated the books of the Bible and it determined which was to be included in the canon of Scripture and which ones were not. I think we have stumbled on the long argued belief of what or who holds authority on our religious beliefs. There is no doubt that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Everybody has someone (either on earth or in heaven) that has touched our lives dramatically. When we think of that person we don't let our love stop there but we give God the glory by thanking Him for that person. That person certainly does not "crowd" out God or reduces our focus. They often keep us focused.
i stumbled across Matthew 12:46-50. Its worth reading i feel. I listened to this song again, about Mary leading us to Jesus etc,i thought Jesus was suppose to lead us to God... this verse in Matthew clearly speaks of Mary and her roll to Jesus as a mother. Or the holy spirits wife? (where is this idea found?) This verse to me says that anyone who is doing the will of God is on the same level as Mary or Jesus' brothers. check it out
I don't think I could ever put myself on the same "level" as Mary. I think sometimes we attempt to bring Mary and very Holy People down to our level to make it easier to be Christian and consider ourselves set apart as Christians. I don't think I could ever be so proud as to think I am the same person as the Mother who watched Her perfect Son be crucified and buried. There are many rooms in the Kingdom of God. P.S. I am a Catholic Christian and Jesus is God.

Mary is the spouse of the Holy Spirit and the Mother of Jesus (The only son of God). Mary's Love is the reflection of Jesus Love for us. Mary is the most perfect creation that we can ever know. Mary is not a god but his creation. To refer to Mary as "just a vessel" is probably not a good idea. God wants us to be part of his salvation plan.
