@BritishInvasion91 I do not refer to the film, I am one of those people who finds murder amusing and beautiful, Sweeney Todd had the perfect murder plans, not a flaw inside it. If Mrs Lovett had been smarter and put the child in a locked room instead of the oven room, they would have gotten away with it. Think of me as you will, but I find the events that happened all those years ago fascinating, I would love to see if we would get the same results in a modernised world.

I first watched this when I was 11, I'm 14 now.

I was singing this in my dorm room- yes I'm a boarding student, but I had my pocket knife out while I was singing this, reenacting the scene (poorly, I fear), and two of my friends walked in. I was in the middle of a big, loud "My FrieeEEEEEENDS!!" with the blade in my outstretched hand. Well, you can guess who was deemed insane right there.

For me, Depp sings it the best.

Not because hes Johnny Depp, but because he puts an element of acting and emotion in it that I don't feel with most trained singers. Even the original man who played Sweeney Todd wasn't as good as him in my opinion.

When Johnny sings this, I really feel like he IS Sweeney, and his singing has a haunting yet beautiful sound to it.

The guy who sang it on B-way was talented, but I think he was thinking of the technicalities of singing vs the emotion involved in it.
