Actually, (and this has been proven) if you spin something fast enough you can breack it from gravity's pull and have it float.

In the video, you saw how the top was wobbling to and fro in mid air. It could not have been just a magnet on the table. If you wanted to put something in perpetual floatation, you would need to create a sphere lined with magnets of equal strength, vacuum the sphere, and put a magnetic ball in the middle, so no poles are identical.

Where is the anti-gravity portion here? If the said object sits at a fixed height above a surface that is only magnetism. The object must appear weightless, and independent of large solid objects beneath it. Plus it wouldn't stay still. It would be moving all over the place.

When you get the cup upright, try putting a cover on it that has a vacuum hose and suck the air out of the glass.. In theory, it should allow for continual motion or at least, a much longer runtime because the air friction should be eliminated or at least reduced.

@chri5tyH Same principal as the Earth spinning on its axis. So I guess this magnetic top would theoretically keep spinning in a vacuum until another force acted on it to slow it down. If not forever, I would imagine it could spin for a very, very long time.

The problem with anti gravity transportation, from what I knew, is that once an object levitates, its almost impossible to maneuver it or prevent it from continuous spinning motion like what your seeing now in that small magnetized thing. I don't know if theres any alternatives for this.If there's any solutions that you know on how to control the constant spinning, please tell me so that I would know =) I'm just 15 though.
