To sad it´s just a conceptcar. Bmw, Mercedes and Audi allready have cars like that (that kind of design) out on the market. When Citroën get that kind of car out on the market the design will allready be old. I´m a owner of a Bmw today but if Citroën had the Metropolis for sale I would probably buy a Citroën instead.

@brentisone This will not be a V8 powere gas guzzler, this (if they make it) will be a diesel/electric hybrid or fully electric car. Citroen was never a car manufacturer that contributed to pollution or made gas hungry crappy low-tech cars. And this doesnt look anything like a Maserati. Also, it wont be a mass produced car that you will see on a road, it will cost as much as a Mercedes S class or BMW 7 series, but will probably be more rare than Rolls Royce's.

This car will be produced under the name of the 'Citroen DS9', it will be Citroen's flagship model.

Expect the full production model sometime around 2013.

Personally, I can't wait to see the production model, the concept looks fantastic, I think this car will give the S Class, A8 and 7 Series a run for their money.

Dont worry, they WILL produce it, and since we're talking about Citroen here, this is how the car will REALLY look like. It wont be changed.  The problem is....it will cost like a Mercedes S class.... and some time will need to pass for people to accept that Citroen DS line of cars are really premium products and will be ready to give that much money "for a citroen". But one thing is sure, french president will buy one. :P

@elpmikecmd Its impossible to make this car for 70k.....if we're talking about dollars, it probably takes more than 70k to BUILT it. This car will cost over 150k euros....knowing how well the small DS3, DS4 are made, and how great the interiors are, it really makes me question whether citroen will make any profit from the DS line of cars. I mean, the interior in the small hatchback DS4 can be compared to something like Aston Martin or Bentley interior...just the BEST possible materials used.

Looks great, I wonder what the interior is like? Seems kind of too long of a sedan don't you agree, the passenger doors in the back seem wayy too big. They shoul'dve kept the GT's back and molded it into this one Great car however.

The "classic" Citroen design was an exercise in engineering, where form follows function. The cars had a simple clean minimalistic shape dictated by aerodynamic principals (performance with fuel economy), passive safety systems (chassis geometry + constant ground clearance + adaptive breaking), high quality materials and construction, many novel yet practical features.

Prefer a DS or SM to whats available today.
