Please correct me if I'm wrong. I am assuming that the rescue engines like this carry some extrication gear, and the squads are the heavy rescues. Am I correct?
@blackhawk777 That is the exhaust removal hose, when the truck cranks up it captures the exhaust and sends it outside of the bay so it doesn't harm anyone inside. When the truck pulls away it automatically disengages from the exhaust pipe.
Are The Rescue's Mostly Used For Fire Calls? Looks Like it Because of the pumps on the left.
