@WritingBlind Sony isn't a good brand especially with a Nintendo Wii. I recommend you use Verbatim, they have around a 95% success rate.

@nielalvaro dude, you can change from GCM to ISO with a registered version of PowerIso but you can find the license (username + License Key) in youtube :)

just write poweriso license and you will find some video that was made 4 months ago from now that says the username as: Mahodi and the license is written :)

it should work and you will a registered version of PowerIso and so you can change from GCM to ISO :)

@supersonicunleashed0 In both cases, the consoles should be modded. If that's the case then if you're planning to play on a Gamecube then only Mini DVDs could work, but if you're planning to play on a Wii, then yes, regular DVDs should work.

I've tried burning 3 dvd's with 3 different games and it didn't work, even dl ing the programs one of the other vids told me to do, it didn't work. Now I bought 2 dvd's from the dollars store as dvd-r instead of dvd+r. I hope it works this time.

@Juijitsu9 I also hope that all works out for you at the end. But it might not be the DVD that's messed up but the game files themselves. Avoid downloading from torrent sites and try downloading games from a clean non torrent site. :D

@thelebanesehacker111 no, it didn't work, I used the one that I didn't get from isohunt but rather the wiiso.com one, and it didn't work. I just bought a SD and SD reader, I hope I can get it to work with that. I think its more complicated but we;ll see.

@thelebanesehacker111 tried it from wiiso.com but it wont let e with firefox. so I did it with google chrome and I have to give my email info so that's bullshit.. I dont know any other site for dling iso's. Sometimes there's not a lot of seeds with torrents which sucks at least for NTSC.

The size can be different as the person who dumped the game could've removed update partition, etc

@WhipeeDip Yes, that is 100% true. This is mainly because the Wii has a good yet kinda crappy disc system so transferring games into ISO files could be very hard causing many "wasted" portions of the file. And these missing parts could be the essential ones needed to boot the game..

@skariskari well I'm not really sure about that because there are many different Wii modifying programs so I am not sure if your modded Wii came with region-free game play options. But still when you want to download games, just download it according to your region; just to be on the safe side. Hope i helped!

@fkagahsdfs Yup thts pretty much it :) but u HAVE to burn the file on ur dvd-r dics using an image buring software. It's most reccomended to use Verbatim, TDK, or Imation brand and it's also best to burn at a wirte speed of 4 and lower. Also do note tht there is a chance that the burn wouldnt be successful :)
